New and improved cover
Just bought this as a replacement for my 8 year cover of the same type. Apparently this is an upgraded model because it's now a quad fold and the back lip next to the tailgate is slightly raised and solid aluminum, so I no longer have to lift up the back fold when closing the tailgate. Now the cover can be left in the closed position while opening and closing the tailgate. Very nice fit, looks great! On my previous cover, the support rods took a beating over the years as they held the cover up when hauling materials and exposing the full bed. The newer supports allow the cover to lean all the way back, taking pressure off the rods when weight is leaning against it. Much better design. On my old cover, the rods rested in thin aluminum hooks that were always bending in various directions enabling the rods to fall out. The new cover has solid clasps that holds the rods in the stowed position, a much needed improvement, however, I can't tell if they are plastic or aluminum and im questioning their durability. I'll give an update after I've had a chance to haul things in a full bed.Update: it has been raining HARD for a few weeks, and no leaks.Another update: the rods have held up just fine after hauling many loads both under cover and with the cover open.

Not that bad.
I like that it keeps the moisture out of the back of the truck. I store tools back there as I am a contractor and I haven’t had a problem with them getting wet. I did transport my Dirtbike about four hours away so I folded it up and placed against the window and put all the locking mechanisms in place. The bolts to hold it in, remember there’s only two that actually keep the lid down slid from where I placed them and take them down. So when I unloaded the Dirtbike and went to lay the cover back down, it had slid 2 inches. As long as you don’t have to lift it up to drive around I don’t see it being a problem. At least flight at 75-80 miles an hour. Insulation was super easy. Not all the hardware came with it it was missing a few small screws for the clips. Other than that took me five minutes to put it on in one trip to the store but going to the store without the top clips on didn’t mean anything.

Very simple and fast, no drilling installation!
I wanted one of these so I can leave tools, camping items, etc in the bed of my truck when I am parked. It is lockable, only if your tailgate is capable of locking. It's rigid and hasn't bent, or swayed of of yet. It keeps my equipment out of site. It's very easy to "flip", or fold up. When flipped open, the straps keep it secure and makes loading gear easy. My kayak still fits and that is a huge plus for me. I know there are other brands on the market, but this is the one I chose. I did have to slightly modify the latching/locking mechanism closest to the tailgate, but I am sure that all truck models fit slightly different. It was a simple job of removing a couple of screw and moving the latch slightly.

Good tonneau cover!
This is a great folding hard tonneau cover. Dents really easily so do not try to chip ice off in the winter. Use a scraper instead. It is strong and secure. You can only open it with the tailgate down so a locking tailgate keeps your stuff secure. Took me about 35 -40 minutes to install by myself in 25 degree weather. A good coat of wax will make snow and ice slide off easily. Overall, a good product but still a bit pricey. It should be noted that this one is my second Bak flip on two different sized trucks.

Quick on time
It shipped Quick and packed great. not a scratch. I ordered a cheaper make and it came to the door with dents and scratches all over it and the box destroyed. I ordered the BAK BAKFlip G2 and it showed up in a few days. Very happy. I'm still trying to return the other. Wish me luck. Cheaper is never better. When will I ever learn.

3 months in, most versitile cap I've owned yet.
I've had 3 types of caps in addition to this one and I prefer this to all the rest. I do frequent dump runs and also frequently load up firewood on the truck - this cap allows full access so I'm not crouched while loading/unloading. Having a full bed available is amazing. It's very sturdy, simple stupid to install, and so far 99% waterproof. Looks great, the only downside is that the height clearance is a good 5" less than my Leer fiberglass top since this one sits flush with the bed (and the struts project about 1" into the bed). I highly recommend this versatile cap.

Very good value for the money
This is the second Bakflip2 that I have owned over the past seven years. This item is very durable and really dresses my truck up nicely. My one caveat with it is that I can never get it to really seal up completely despite following the installation instructions to the letter. In other words if you are concerned with keeping your things totally dry this might not be the cover for you.

leaks bad at tailgate- remedied by customer service
Went from a Mopar trifold soft cover that didn't leak to the G2 that leaks bad at the tailgate. I haven't checked the bulkhead for leaking yet. After review customer service was very helpful and sent parts that were needed to fix the issue.

Nice unit but hits the glass on 2012 Ram 1500
The release cables were prone to hide against the cover so I installed pads of rubber to ensure the cables were spaced so your fingers could get under them. Otherwise a good unit.
