Solid
I bought a generator cover. The supplied 5/8" tubing was paper thin and would bend/kink at the drop of a hat. I replaced all of those with these 5/8" steel rods. Now is good and solid. Easily cut to proper length using a hacksaw.

Work great on off the shelf wheels
Good quality. Easy to cut to size with a hand held cutting wheel. Fit stock wheels beautifully.

Cheap undersized
I ordered 2 of these axles with bearings. Advertised as 3/4". the bearings are but the axles are undersized. if used together or with 3/4" bushings, they won't last I will keep them to use for whatever but I went to my local steel supply shop and got a piece of 3/4" cold rolled steel which is much stronger and for 1/3 the money.

Good Value. Accurate enough for prototyping
I do a lot of prototyping work. I hate spending a lot of money for shafts that a highly accurate and overkill for slapping something together. I hate using tubing or round stock for shafts even more if I'm trying to fit bushings or bearings and they won't go on. These shafts (5/8") are about 0.010" under in diameter at 0.615". So, they are not high tolerance, but they will fit into bushings and bearings for mechanical devices that need not be highly accurate. It also gives you enough play for assembly for stuff like go-karts /wagons / etc. The shafts are not totally straight and I can see about 1/8" of bend just eyeballing it on a flat table. But, for the price, they are great for axles and pivots especially if you are cutting them down anyway. Just don't expect to do some high-tolerance machine work with them. Loc-Tite bearing retainer is your friend.

Very good quality and hardness.
Zinc coating is very well done. Steel in rod seems good quality. Very heavy, and tempered just right, not brittle not soft.

Good price. Looks well made.
Good price. Looks well made. I used one to make a pet carrier. Only for about 35 kg. Probably good for more weight than I'm using it for.

Works good on our 28 Gal gas caddy as axle shaft !

Shaft de qualité
Diamètre un peu inférieur à celui annoncé. Flacote trop pour utiliser dans un bearing.
