Meh scratcher, awesome dancer toy
So, this came exactly as advertised. Hung securely on a wall in my dining/living room. Added the cat dancer toy. My cat scratches it once and never again. He loves, loves, loves the cat dancer toy though. And this from a cat who rarely plays with a new toy more than 5 seconds. I’m going to have to look for something else to keep him from going after my couch! I put the cat dancer toy on his tower and every few days he goes mad stalking and catching it!

My cats LOVE this!
I have four cats - one does not have access to this toy yet - she is kept seperate from my other cats. However the other three absolutely LOVE this! Two of them have no front claws, yet "sharpening" their toes must feel good because they repeatedly come back to use the cardboard scratching post. The one that DOES have front claws, enjoys shredding the cardboard several times a day and THAT saves my poor chair that had been getting used. As far as the CAT DANCER TOY attached - I had to work a little to get it to stay, but two of my cats each spend at least 10 minutes several times a day going crazy with that silly thing. I have it mounted so that they can lay on the ground on their backs and bat at it, they jump around hitting it, they roll with it in their paws, and just mainly entertain themselves while getting a LOT of exercise. I have had it up for several weeks now and they have yet to tire of it. I DO have to sweep up or vacuum the cardboard that the claws shred from the scratching post part, but that is minor for the enjoyment this has brought to my cats. It was very easy to assemble and to mount on the wall. I have bought another for my isolated cat but have not yet mounted it. I'm sure she will enjoy it as much as the "boys" do.

Kitties love the cat dancer, scratchy box not so much
The kitties really love this, and somehow have managed not to pull the cat dancer down from the box (yet). I only wish it adhered to the wall a bit better, because they can't really scratch on it. When they do, it partially comes off the wall and startles them, so they have stopped even trying to scratch it. The cat dancer toy is a hit though.

My cats favorite scratch pad
I go through these scratch pads the most of all the ones I have tried, not because they are faulty in any way but because the cats love it. They cant seem to walk past the scratch pad without getting sidetracked by either the hanging bouncy toy or the pad itself. My cats give it claws up!!!

Good scratcher not so good wall scratcher
my cat really loved the scratcher and the cat dancer that came with it. The only problem we had is it fall off the wall after 1 months. We tried to use a new command strip to stick it back up. it still didn't work. We then have to put it on the floor which our cat loved. He actually uses it as a lounge. I think customer will have problem keeping it up on the wall as the cat constantly scratching and glue comes off.

Excellent scratcher and toy
This solved the problem of my cat scratching on the wood of the door frames in the house. He had other scratchers but seemed to need a scratcher that was higher up in order to reach/stretch while scratching. I adhered this to the outside of the coat closet door at the level he was scratching the door frame, and he took to it within minutes. I didn't think he'd be interested in the little wire toy that attaches at the top, but he found it fascinating for a few days (he's easily bored). I believe any cat would like this and the mounting is strong enough to withstand a big, strong cat pulling on it. The cardboard tears and flakes to the floor, but my cat prefers cardboard to carpet scratchers because his claws don't get snagged on the cardboard. I'd rather vacuum those pieces of cardboard than sand and repaint door frames!

I've tried to get my cat interested in this, ...
I've tried to get my cat interested in this, with no success. I don't think it's a fault of the product; I think some cats just aren't attracted to cardboard as a scratching surface, and mine seems to be one of those.

My Cats Love It
Has saved my furniture from over zealous scratching. I have one in each of four locations and they are all used. Second time I have purchased as they finally went through the cardboard after almost 2 years.

Cat entertained but not for long
The cat has showed little interest in the scratch pad but that is not the fault of the pad. The toy attracted more attention but the cat seems to be able to dislodge the toy quite quickly. I have now anchored with duct tape.

The cats seem to really enjoy that it is wall mounted
I have three completely indoor cats who have reduced our sofa to shreds with their enthusiastic scratching!I was skeptical when I received this scratcher since it is made entirely out of corrugated cardboard, but it has held up surprisingly well. It comes with sticky strips for mounting on the wall: which is really really easy. The cats seem to really enjoy that it is wall mounted, and therefore vertical. It offers them greater resistance too. This is so much better than scratching posts, which move around. After we put this in, our cats have COMPLETELY stopped scratching everything else!! This may vary from cat to cat though as they are temperamental creatures, but I think it's safe to assume most cats will enjoy this. The cat dancer toy is pretty useless when attached to the frame as shown in pictures. Cats love playing with it when a human wiggles it around though.Cons:With three cats I'll be lucky if this lasts me even a month. I don't know if I want to add another recurring monthly expense to my cat-bills. Especially since I bought on discount and the regular price is over a 1000 rupeesThe replacement cores (which I also bought) are the same good quality, but once the cardboard frame is stuck on the wall, I don't see a way of inserting the replacement cores. The sticky strips cannot be removed, and the front of the frame is too narrow.Highly recommend if cost is not a concern for you. Im going to try to find something more durable and hence cheaper, like a sisal wall scratcher.Update on 13th August: the cats scratched into the cardboard frame, and even though the cardboard cores are not entirely spent, they have fallen out of the frame and are useless. Not sure what to do with the replacement cores i have already bought! Will certainly be looking for something wall mounted, but more durable.

Scratcher Good, Wire Toy NOT!!!!
The scratcher itself is well made and quite sturdy. Mr.Cheddar seems to love it.It attached easily to the wall, which we placed about 10" from the floor, allowing the Chedster to get a good stretch while using it.The wire toy included with this scratcher is NOT good. A potential hazard for eyes, etc...and very poor design.Would not be good to be left out, when unattended. We recycled that part right away. Can't say if the wall will be pristine after removal as we just put it up. But it is staying in place well, in spite of Mr. Cheddar using this scratcher a lot already. Not sure where the "command" strips can be purchased if required, for attaching to the wall. We will be moving this scratcher when we move soon, so hopefully will be able to find some for this next use.Mr. Cheddar is the author of: "Mr. Cheddar's Meowsings! Yes! Stops them from scratching what I don't want them scratching!
My energetic foster kittens keep trying to scratch my air filter and one specific corner of my kitchen walls. I want them to be able to scratch to their heart's content in that space...just not those particular items! And I don't have the space for a scratching post/cat tree in that area. Cue: Cat Dancer Wall Scratcher. Really easy to set up, sustainable because there's no excess packaging, up on the wall in two seconds, and the cats are super happy (and no longer scratching the things I don't want them to scratch). I'm going to order some more for their additional favourite spots, and in case we have any additional wall/curtain scratching.Additionally, the Cat Dancer included is an optional attachment, and I thought they would lose their tiny kitten minds if it was attached to their scratching pad, and so I've kept them separate, and it's worked out great. Glad there is that option!

Good stuff, quality product that my cat loves
Good stuff, quality product that my cat loves. Seeing it's mainly cardboard, I didn't think the product would hold up, but it seems to be holding up really very well. Now, I only need to find replacement cores but I think these should last as we regularly cut and file our cat's nails so thankfully, she can't shred it to bits. She also adores the cat dancer toy! Thumbs up for this product, now my furniture is safe!
