Surprising that for the price this one works very well seals tight now worry about it exploding in use it distills very nicely

I wasn’t expecting top quality. I just wanted to get into distilling and learn at an affordable price. This still surpassed my expectations. It is well built and does what it’s supposed to do. Just the pot alone is worth the price. I got the 8.5 gallon model for approximately $120. Totally worth it. So far I’ve done 2 cleaning runs. The only downside for me personally is the condenser. It’s just too small. I couldn’t keep it cool enough so I took off the fittings, bought a 5 gallon bucket, outfitted it with the fittings, bought some copper line and built a new condenser. That works for me. I spent around $50 to fix the problem. I also had to buy a pump for the water flow and that was $20. So, I now have about $200 invested, which is great because other stills I was looking at are in the $500-$1,200 range. I’m not ready for that level of investment. I would absolutely recommend this still to anyone who wants to dabble in distilling but doesn’t want to drop big bucks to do it. Again, the still pot by itself is worth the price of the whole kit. It’s a solid piece of stainless steel and has a gasket built into the lid. In my 2 test runs there have been no leaks, and it’s super quiet as well. I gave it 4 stars due to the condenser issue. But don’t let that dissuade you for purchasing this still.

Box exterior was crushed during shipping. Product surprisingly was in tact, not damaged.

Worry about missing parts, but come with a complete kit. Nice item.

Arrived fast and in good packaging. This will come in handy to make fresh water in monson conditions.

Would not recommend, this thing leaks so bad around the silicone seal, I couldn’t get it to seal, would not buy again. The only reason I gave it one star is because there are no zero stars.

It’s extremely easy to set up and use even with the limited instructions that it comes with, however the one brass water valve is leaking from a hairline crack in the center of the valve. Sent a message to the seller hoping to maybe just get a replacement valve. I’ll update the review once I hear back from them.
