Really good quality for the price
I'm going to be using 5 criteria in reviewing the 2.4 GHz wireless microphone system from Sonicake. The 5 criteria are 1) sound quality, 2) convenience, 3) ease-of-use, 4) range, 5) instructions and ease of getting started. Convenience and ease-of-use may be a little confusing. Ease-of-use is once you understand how the system works is it easy to get it to do what it is supposed to do. Convenience is whether or not it is suitable for your application. For example a 17 pound microphone may be easy to use once you understand how it works but it is not necessarily convenient to be lugging something that heavy around. I'm going to be rating each of these categories on a 1 to 5 scale with 5 being the best.Sound quality: I would give this a 4.2. The sound quality itself overall is surprisingly good for an inexpensive unit such as this. It is not going to have the same quality as a Rode but at the same time it doesn't cost $300. But the basic quality of the sound is very good at least for speech. I'm not one to judge on the quality of the sound for instrumentals or vocals. The only reason that it does not get a 5.0 is because there is a slight almost imperceptible feedback hum. It does not seem to be affected by the proximity of the transmitting microphone to the receiving unit. And it is not any worse than I have heard on less expensive cabled mics. You can almost get rid of it by adjusting the gain on the recording equipment and the volume on the microphone transmitter.Convenience: I would give this a 4.5. The cube shape of the transmitter and receiver is a little weird. There is no problem with the shape of the receiver but it just looks strange as a lapel mic having this cube hanging off your shirt.Ease-of-use: I would give this a 5.0. Once you understand how it works, what all the buttons are for, and what all the lights mean it's extremely easy to use. It pairs up the transmitter and the receiver almost immediately.Range: I would give this a 5.0. I tested it first with a line of sight from 2 feet all the way to 30 feet and there was no discernible difference in the sound quality. Then I went 2 rooms away and shut all the doors and I was about 45 feet from the transmitter to the receiver. Again there was no discernible difference in the sound quality. It sounded just as good from 45 feet away with the doors closed from 2 rooms as it did from 2 feet away.Instructions and ease of getting started: I'm going to give this a 2.0. I had to take out a magnifying glass in order to read the microscopic print that was provided. I do not understand why the manufacturers can't spend $.10 more and print their instructions on a decent size paper that a human being can read without a magnifying glass. But it really doesn't matter because the diagrams and the instructions were unbelievably confusing. The only reason it gets as much as a 2.0 is because the instructions at least pointed me in the direction of what was available with a microphone. I eventually got the thing up and running after about 25 minutes simply by trial and error, pressing buttons and observing the results. All in all the microphone gets an average of 4.14 so as a result I'm rating it 4 stars. If you need a decent quality microphone at a reasonable price this is a good choice.

Crackling sound
Even keeping perfectly still I get a crackling sound from this unit. I have a RODE set that these are trying to imitate but they do not come close. Yes, theyâre cheaper but I guess the quality suffers.

Small but mighty!
Pretty good sounds quality for such a little mechanism. Set-up and pairing are a breeze. The instructions are crap though which is always annoying. Itâs simple enough, still I donât want to work that hard sometimes lol. The range is ridiculous. I havenât gone past about 15-20 feet, but the sound quality was clear with no issues. Itâ super small and compact so that makes it super convenient for carrying around. Overall, good quality product for a great price.

Cute and worth it
Alright so what makes this so cool is the fact they are so small I donât like items that are so bulky especially if youâre trying to record a video for social media the last thing you want to see is the microphone so this was perfect for me! Now sound quality⊠amazed at it so good I have not one complaint nor anything bad to say

Convenient and has good audio quality!
First of all, using a decent lav mic in addition to the transmitter is the best way to go. The unit sounds good by itself but sounded amazing when I plugged a high quality lav mic into it. It pairs quickly and is very easy to use and as of right now has become my go to setup for quick YouTube videos with my lav mic. The clip on the receiver also attaches to a cold/hot shoe mount on top of a camera and the kit comes with a nice hardshell case and all the cables you will ever need. The units are small and very lightweight and don't seem to have any signal issues or interference. Aside from the built-in batteries, I don't see any big downsides with these units given the asking price. I do wish the receiver was a bit more secure on top of a camera but I haven't had issues with it yet and don't plan on viciously shaking the camera anyway. At this price range I have no big complaints aside from the built-in batteries. The rest is just great. They aren't creaky but are plastic and definitely a lighter duty plastic but they had to cut some corners in order to make audio quality a priority. The audio quality is excellent even when compared to much more expensive options, just don't step on these things and they should be okay.

Donât buy it if you want to use it for iPhone.
It was mentioned this item works for iPhone. But it does not work at all. I feel disappointed. Wasted my time for nothing. I have to return it now. đ

Does the job really well, no issues at all
I am not by any means an expert on this type of product, so I spent some time reading reviews and looking at the options. The 'big name' brands offer this type of microphone and receiver at about ÂŁ200 or so, and I was doubtful about the wisdom of paying too little--buy cheap, buy twice is always worth remembering. But the reviews here were encouraging and there are a few worth accessing on YouTube, so took the plunge. We needed this for recording speech in church and the setup is very simple: the speaker wears the microphone, the receiver is connected to an Apple iPhone running an app called Voice Record Pro. As the iPhone has only the charging port we purchased an Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter. The instruction sheet supplied is not great, but it is obvious what you need if you think about it.Everything works fine. I can't comment on whether the charge will last 10 hours, but the neat USB to two USB C charging cable works well and using the set up for perhaps two hours is no problem. Sound quality is good, no dropout problems. We only need coverage over about 6-10 feet (1.8 to 3 metres) between the microphone and receiver. I understand that the claims made by the manufacturer for the wireless range are optimistic, but we are well within the working range.
