Cute and functional
We had our medical supplies in ugly but functional plastic storage bins in our closet, but you couldn't tell from looking at them what they held. These are attractive containers made of good quality, solid metal, with a smooth painted finish. Large enough to fit a decent number of supplies (I bought two because we have multiples and now there is one for upstairs and downstairs). The red cross on them is a obvious indication of the contents and makes it easy to recognize for anyone. The deep tin has an upper tray which has divided sections for organizing smaller items. They were well packed in bubble wrap which I will reuse for storing or shipping delicate items and they arrived quickly.

Good way to identify first aid supplies
Prior to getting this box, I kept all my first aid supplies in an open plastic container on a shelf in my hallway. I did put a label on it that said "first aid" so that if anyone in my family was looking for band aids, they would find this. However, I like this box better because it's so clearly marked with the universal red cross that aside from my family, anyone like a babysitter would be able to identify that this box contains first aid supplies. I mostly keep band aids in it which stay in their original boxes. Since the bottom of the box is one space (no compartments), you can keep bigger items like band aid boxes in there. I also have some ace bandages. The upper compartment is nice for smaller things like scissors, ointments, tape. The lid is good because it keeps the dust and air off the supplies so they last longer. It's not a travel first aid kit, it's definitely a stationary kit that you would just keep around the house.

Very poor design.
If you're looking for a white metal box with a big red plus sign on it...you've finally found it!If you want said box to be a well functioning first-aid kit...this thing isn't it. Why, you ask? Because, if you actually use it to put first aid supplies into, and then the worst happens (you need to use those supplies), this thing is awful.Let's start with carrying it. A good first aid kit would have a large, easy to grab handle that you can pick up and carry. THIS first aid kid had 2 tiny handles on either side - handles that you will never, ever use because nobody wants to carry a small first aid kit with both hands and the handles themselves are TINY. But let's say, for sake of argument, that you're a tiny person, maybe 1/8th scale of a normal human being, and those handles somehow work out for you. You grab the handles and jump to action. In your haste, you don't stay perfectly level and everything falls out of this small metal box. Why? Because there is no way to securely close the lid. Shoeboxes would be more secure than this. But maybe instead of taking your tiny metal box filled with first aid supplies to where it's needed, you instead take people to your first aid kid. No need to worry about the tiny handles and the fact that it cannot fasten securely. Your patient arrives, and you pop open the lid. And you desperately hope that what you're looking for is in one of the three separate compartments on the "top shelf." Because if not, you have to remove that shelf - which is easy - and then reveal "The Pit." There's no organizing straps or compartments or anything. So to fill it up, you just dump whatever you think you might need, and at the first movement, everything shuffles around by itself. Maybe that could be a game unto itself - whatever you pull out first is what you use: need to treat a cut, and you may end up treating it with Neosporin, Celox, an ice pack, or a vomit bag. Fun times await! This metal box is Made in China, is very poorly designed to be used as an actual first aid kid, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone if they plan to use it to build a first aid kit. It's overpriced (just over 30 bucks at time of review), but it does have a decent paint job.If you're looking for something that's actually useful, try a first aid kit by "Surviveware" or other, more known and reputable maker of first aid kits (pro tip: on many of the quality ones, you can even use HSA funds to purchase. Not so much with this small metal box.)

Great
This fits a lot of items in it. I love the look of it. It’s sturdy and I think it’ll last a long time, generations.
