Ein phantastisches Weitwinkelobjektiv
Ich hab mir lange überlegt, ob ich einen knappen Tausender für dieses Objektiv ausgeben will, hab mich dann aber Gott sei Dank dafür entschieden. Bisher hab ich es hauptsächlich für Landschaftsaufnahmen und allen möglichen Gelegenheiten tagsüber verwendet. Auch hier brilliert das Objektiv mit einer großen Lichtaufnahme, was insbesondere Morgens und Abends sehr feines fotografieren bei wenig Licht erlaubt. Neben der Auitomatikposition lässt sich die Brennweite auch fest einstellen. Der Autofokus, welcher m.E. sehr schnell und präzise arbeitet lässt sich auch auf manuell umstellen. Sonst hätte ich auch Nachts ein Problem. Für Astrofotografie hab ich es noch nicht probieren können. Aber da hab ich einen Bericht aus der c't (der Fotografiezeitschrift) gelesen und der ist überzeugend. Ich werde weiter berichten. Wie gesagt, aus meiner Sicht ein erstklassiges Weitwinkelobjektiv mit enormer Lichtaufnahme. Ich bin froh, es gekauft zu haben.

Heavenly lens, better than I could have dreamed
I have been a professional photographer all my life, now retired. This lens is made to fit and work on Sony cameras. I have used Nikon for almost 40 years, but for what ever reason, Sigma have become a part of my prime wide to portrait lens choice now for sometime. This lens is not available to fit fx or Z Nikon bodies. Why do I like a lens made for Sony? Well it has an aperture ring that works and has f stops visible, beautifully made, outstanding sharpness and priced within a sensible scale. I have to use an adapter, for this to fit my Z mount. Every aspect of this lens delivers. I am extremely critical about quality images, and this lens delivers. It is my first of these new primes , and I will be adding to these as they are all highly rated. I have tried video and photos with perfect results. If you have a Sony Full frame or cropped body you can not go wrong. I you have any other mirrorless camera system that allows adapters from Sony fit I fully recommend the fabulous lens. Buy through this seller on Amazon, and you will get fast cared for delivery. Highly recommended.

My favourite prime lens
I've shot entire music videos solely on this lens. There is no better choice for widescreen (3840x1600) videos than this lens. Wide open it vignettes hard, but that's to be expected with an ambitious lens. I lean in to the vignetting hard since it emphasizes the subject even better. Wide open, it's razor sharp even at 33MP. Barrel distortion is prominent, but not terrible. This lens is best for video work in run-n-gun situations. The autofocus being lightning-quick makes it my #1 choice for small, dimly-lit scenarios in documentary shoots. Well worth the price. Another huge bonus is the 82mm filter thread. So yes I've used polarizers and ND filters on this lens. Just adds to the versatility.

Excellent Lens
As far as wide angle lenses this one is an absolute beast. Color and clarity wise 10/10 would recommend.
