Very thick and durable
I've never had one of these break. So happy to not be adding to the plastic waste.

Compostable bags
The bag's a 3 lb bag and just fits into a Bjs dishwasher pod container, which I keep on the counter top by my sink. It's handy and reminds me to compost.

Better for the environment and works fine - just don't overstuff
I tried these bags out because the description said they were .02 mm thicker than the other brand I had been using. Of course I can't tell a difference - the two brands function basically exactly the same. These are obviously not your usual heavy-duty kitchen bags, but they work pretty well for my purposes. I've been using these compostable bags for almost two years now, and the main takeaway that I have is that I can't be lazy about taking out the trash. The bag will not hold up to overstuffing, but it does hold up to a regular 13-gallon load pretty well. I've never had the bag break on me completely unexpectedly. If I leave it in there for too long, it will start to do what it is meant to do - decompose. It's honestly never too major - if I see the bottom of the bag is looking a little ragged when I take it out, I just slip another bag over it and it holds fine. Sometimes, even if the bag itself hasn't started to decompose, moisture will start to build up in the garbage can and it's a little wet when I take the trash out. I just do a quick wipe with some disinfectant, and it's fine. It doesn't smell any worse than trash in a regular garbage bag does. The bag doesn't have handles, but I make sure that I have enough to tie it off with by just leaving a little extra over the sides of the garbage can liner, and again, that works just fine without any real hassle. Overall, for me, any minor tradeoffs vs. a conventional garbage bag in strength and convenience are more than worth it for the added eco peace of mind.

Does the job!
Strong enough to keep the scraps safe until I can take them to the town compost.

Great bags, neutral color
I buy these bags because they are large enough for our city supplied food scrap bin and can be tied in a knot before putting in the food scrap side of our garbage bin. I like the fact that they are white. The green ones look awful in our kitchen.

Really nice bags. I like the texture
These are fairly thick and at first I didn’t like the scent of them, but I got used to it and now actually do like the scent. It’s sorta like a burnt wood kinda scent. These are perfectly sturdy if you don’t leave liquids lying in them for 24 hours or mire like my husband and teenage daughter. They’ll throw foods with liquid still in them like pepper ring stems in the juice. It’s acidy and it wears down the bag and makes it sticky. Then eventually it’ll tear if you make it too heavy.i use these for kitty litter box changes and our rabbit paper bedding changes. The cat box and rabbit dirty cage litter is quite heavy and I fill the bag up fairly well. I carry it down the stairs and out the door without issue. Except when my 7 month old Malinois puppy decides to grab the rabbit litter filled bag and tear a huge hole in it. Other then that I think they’re great, but unfortunately they been out of the 13 gallon for two months now it is but more. So if you want to be kind to the earth you need to be a little more careful when you use compostable bags, because the fact is. They aren’t plastic. So we can’t fill them with soaking wet items, let them sit like that and then pull them up and throw them around like plastic. It’s not the same that’s the point. That’s why these compost and plastic doesn’t.

Not tough, but that's the price for compostability
As others have said, these bags are thin and kind of fragile. The plus side of this is that they break down fast in a compost pile. I use the bags to line my counter-top compost bin that used for vegetable scraps, egg shells, coffee grounds and used paper coffee filters. The bag fills up in about a week and by then it's begun to break down a bit and there is moisture on the outside of the bag and in the bin. But the bag is still intact enough to be carried out to the compost pile. Within a few months of being in the outside compost pile, the bags are visibly disappearing. Other compost liners I've used either don't break down at all or disintegrate in days in the counter-top big.

It Takes Three Bags
These are definitely not worth the money!!! They are the most fragile kitchen trash bags I have ever purchased. I just took my 1/2 full bag of garbage out. It took three!!! bags to do this because they tear at the slightest touch. Thank goodness I only bought the 50-bag pack! Never will I buy this product again. Wish I could give it a -3 star rating.

Not Great for Kitchen Use
I bought these with the intention of using the bags for my garbage bag. Not a great choice. The bags started composting within a couple of days, and accumulated moisture between the garbage can and the bag. I think it would be a better choice for outdoor yard waste, although I'm not sure how durable it would be with sticks and other sharp objects. If you take out garbage daily, this bag could work for you in the kitchen.
