Another winner from Greenworks!
I received this item free as an Amazon Vine reviewer and this is my honest review. I only review items I will actually use, and use I do, prior to writing a review.I will start by saying I am a big fan of the Greenworks cordless tools and own a number of them. I am also an avid woodworking buff. I own another cordless oscillating tool currently but I wanted to try the Greenworks one.As I mentioned I own a number of other Greenworks 24V cordless tools, so I have plenty of experience with the batteries and chargers. All the batteries interchange, which I really like. I also like that each battery has a built-in power level indicator. This is very handy if you are checking to see what batteries are good, and which ones need to be charged. As I do with all my cordless tools, I completely charged this battery overnight before using it.My first impression is how nice this feels in the hand. But for one Greenworks cordless tool I own (a quarter sheet sander), every other one just fits well, and this oscillating tool is no exception. The tool is long with plenty of room for a firm grip (pictured). The main reason I bought this was for detail sanding and the occasional inletting on a wood rifle stock. The tool attachment point has pins that correspond to holes in the tool head (pictured). This design allows various rotations or orientations for the tool head to allow use in different locations or tighter areas (pictured). The variable speed is a nice touch, something my other cordless oscillating tool does not have, but now I can’t work without it. The higher speed is great for sanding, and I use the lower speed for careful cutting. Another feature that my other oscillating tool is lacking is the LED work light (pictured). Again, not something you really miss, until you have it. It makes working in tight, dark corners much easier and safer. My only minor complaint is the Velcro that holds the sandpaper on doesn’t seem as strong as other brands I have used. But the sanding pad seemed to stay put but I may worry with coarser grits or more pressure. As I do at the end of all my reviews, I ask myself if I would actually purchase this item. I certainly would and am enjoying another quality Greenworks tool.

It's a excellent deal
The Greenworks 24V Cordless Multi-Tool was bought a few months ago tfor a great price ($50.96 including battery and shipping). The Multi-Tool is comfortably and strong. Does the work. Comes with a nice variety of blades, but I also had to buy a set for wood/metal.I already have five Greenworks tools, all of them have been tested in homework and have proven themselves to be excellent. They all take the same batteries which is very comfortably. There are a few small flaws:1. You have to use force to detach battery2. Instructions were not as good as they should be

Very nice tool indeed!
I went on a search to get a new oscillating tool after my old one died. I was use to a corded tool with a name brand that had a long history of being known as a workhorse brand. I had several other greenworks tools including the circular saw, sander, reciprocating saw, lawn mower, trimmer, and chain saw. All have surpassed my expectation. So, I bought the greenworks oscillating saw. LOVE IT!!!! Cut thru plywood and drywall without issue. The blades are easy to change and it feels good in your hands.I would recommend!!!

Very versatile
First thing to know is there is a bit of anti corrosive stuff on the battery charging prongs but a pencil eraser fixed that In 2 seconds..did the job completely and with very good results.. battery life kinda amazes me

Another defective unit
Every Greenworks tool I've ever used has been great, except this one.Straight out of the box the blade lock assembly was seized up. When it did finally pop free so I could put the blade in, it didn't hold.My first cut was a soft wood, clang, blade hit the floor. My second cut was cardboard, same thing happened. Tried again, surely I just wasn't putting the blade on correctly, watched videos and everything to make sure I got it right, clang, blade hit floor. Put unit back in its box and started the return.I still highly recommend Greenworks' tools, just not this one.

A Decent Tool
For my purposes of only a couple projects and little future use, this tool was a good buy. It is a little fussy changing blades and not the easiest to use blade retention system. Again for my limited needs this tool works and saved me money. For frequent and or heavy use I would look elsewhere.

Watch out! No battery or charger
Cost of battery and charger more than doubles the price for this tool, it probably works if you're already a Greenworks customer, otherwise be prepared to buy the other parts to get this guy working
