Wow, just Wow
I was fortunate to receive this book free from the authors during the lockdown. Just now got to reading it. It was a hard start, but about a quarter of the way through, I was hooked. Would love to talk with the author, so many questions. Thank you Bodies Thoene, God bless you!

Grateful to reread this series with new hope.
Whether a new student or more mature, read with a hunger and you'll find a feast. Plan on visiting them again when your hunger returns.

You'll love this book!
Fantastic book! Make sure you have tissues nearby when reading this though. I cried tears of sorrow for some of the characters and tears of joy for them at other times. obviously, the characters are very real. I don't believe everything I read in books about God and His Word, but if something sounds interesting I will research it to determine if it's true, using only resources that have been thoroughly vetted. I can say that everything I've checked that are in Bodie's books has turned out to be true. It's still always best to check for yourself before accepting something as truth though. (especially things about God and His Word). I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Jesus and anyone who's interested in learning more about Him, or who would like to meet Him. I just wish I had enough money to get all their books!

Top notch story with great moral messages
Think "Ben Hur" or "Barrabas". A historical novel set at the time of Christ, which creates backstories for some of the characters Jesus interacts with in the Bible. It's so well done that it's like the vignettes in the Bible come to life with a story that weaves them together. This is the second book in a series, but I happened to start with it. I first checked the audio book out from the library. I was so impressed and inspired that I offered to teach it to Adult Sunday School at my church. So the church purchased the CD's and a book. Each week I build a Bible Study around the audio. We listen to the CD's, read the related Biblical version, and discuss the concepts. It's been interesting to do an audio class in the age of video...make the audience pay attention and use their imagination. BTW, the narrator is fantastic, doing many different voices. I think it's worth the price just to listen to him. The whole thing can turn a plain vanilla Bible story (sorry Lord) into a gourmet meal. Highly recommended! I'd be willing to share my Sunday School Powerpoint (which is still a work-in-progress) for non-commercial purposes, such as other Sunday Schools. email me at [email protected] and include Second Touch in the Subject (so I know it's not junk mail).

Great series
Great series.Every book flows and like a river reveals a new view of of early Christian life through the pen of the writer as each new story plays out. New insights into Christ and how the characters interact with Him and His words.

Intriguing story line
I very much enjoythe both the story line and the writing style of the author. The plot was very detailed and shows the research that went into it. I have very much enjoyed this book and the series. There was one downside to this particular Kindle version: for some reason it was delivered in Wondershare format, which watermarks every page multiple times and interrupts the format of the page. Both the watermark and odd format were distracting to me, but not so much that I could not finish the book. Other books in the series have not had the Wondershare watermark so perhaps this was a one time occurance.

Fantastic Story
Yeshua - sweetest name I know. This was such a good story. I loved how it shows that we are all lepers inside, sick with sin that can only be forgiven and cleansed by Yeshua. How great a love - chesed. The authors did a very nice job with this story!

Good read
Another excellent read from Brock and Bodie Thoene. Very well researched and covers the horror of having leprosy in biblical times. Usually no hope but this story gives life and hope over decay and death.
