I was looking for faster WiFi adapter for my Dell 5585 laptop. Dell certifies only 2 models: QCA9377 and QCA61x4A. As original QCA9377 was giving only about 433Mbps on 5Ghz network and QCA61x4A supposedly 2x, I decided to give it a try. Installation was relatively simple (there is a video on YouTube). After upgrade I had trouble installing Dell driver. Deal4GO downloader driver (dated 2020) would not even run installation. So eventually I run Dell driver Qualcomm-QCA61x4A-QCA9377-Wi-Fi-and-Bluetooth-Driver_YX23Y_WIN_12.0.0.1118_A47_03 and removed installed software. After reboot, adapter became active with 2016 driver. After testing, it did provide about 20-30% boost in transmission (5GHz). BTW I use Deco M5 for home Wi-Fi. Nominal adapter speed is 866.7 Mbps but effective with Deco is about 160 Mbps. I left this one in use.Update: Above test was on second node of Deco M5. When switched to 1st node, performance jumped up to 100% improvement. Just make sure to use 5GHz network. Definitely a keeper.Update(2): does NOT support Miracast (from laptop to TV)
