South Shore Black 1-Door Printer Stand with Storage on Wheels, Pure

My Son-in-Law had no problem assembling this cabinet for me a I had a stroke. I probably could have done it with a bit more difficulty. Works well for my printer stand and cabinet.

The media could not be loaded.  the piece of furniture can only go together one way. They have pre drilled holes for the door magnet. There IS NO OTHER WAY TO PUT IT TOGETHER OTHER THAN THE WAY I HAVE IT TOGETHER. My father, who built houses his whole life, had to come downstairs and ease my mind by telling me “no ma’am, you have it put together correctly and they have jumbled it up”..... my white strip is on the WRONG SIDE of one of my boards. And NO, it’s can’t be flipped around because NONE OF THE OTHER HOLES WOULD LINE UP! And again, THESE ARE PRE DRILLED HOLES FOR THE MAGNET. Also, the door will not catch on the magnet unless the door is lifted up, which you can manually do, but when you release it it falls back down and the magnet no longer makes the connection. So the door won’t magnet shut. I am waiting until morning to call south shore customer care as their offices are closed. I’ll update on how my conversation goes. All I really need is a white strip and some glue to put on the front of the defective piece. I have uploaded pictures and video. UPDATE: the customer service phone number on the box was a life saver. Their customer service is GREAT. Even though I had problems with my unit, they are sending me a new piece (with the correct side painted) and a new magnet and magnet plate for the closing door. Customer service saved the day. If it wasn’t for their nice and professional customer service who actually sounded like he cared, I would have been quite upset do to the cost of the unit and it not being correct. Customer service really pulled through.

Pros: Four stars in every category.Cons: Very heavy. Requires thoughtful assembly.I couldn't lift or drag the heavy shipping package into my home. I had to cut the box open on the porch and drag it into the computer room, one piece at a time, and there it sat for a couple of days because I found the pile of composite wood and parts intimidating.The instructions suggests that identifying the parts should be the first step and eventually that's what I did. After the first two parts to be joined were identified I separated them from the pile and prepared them for assembly. Studying them for awhile I noticed that they could be joined in 4 ways, only 1 of which was correct and that the assistance of another person to hold them while they were being joined would be helpful. At that time I summoned my wife.With her help I fastened the parts together... incorrectly. This initial step is the most difficult and confusing step of the procedure! The parts were disassembled and reassembled correctly. From that point on no further assistance was required and the assembly proceeded rapidly without additional errors and was completed in about another hour.

Fits most any printer with storage below. Directions are only diagrams and difficult to understand. Had to request one broken hinge pin.

Simple but elegant stand, perfect for a small business or home office. It is quite heavy and study. I'm only using it for a modest all-on-one inkjet printer, but it is large and strong enough to even support small-medium size laser printers. The first shelf is nice and deep, perfect for storing paper, ink, optical media, staplers, hole punch, and other office or computer equipment and supplies. Two cupboards below with adjustable shelves, one with a very nicely working door. As I mentioned it is heavy, but easy to move into position with the included castors. There is not really any routing for power or any other kind of cables. My printer power cord hangs behind the table (against the wall), and its small power brick fits tucked neatly underneath the table in the space made by the castors. Assembly is fairly simple and can probably be done in a half hour. It may be overkill if you're looking for something for just a very small printer

Not bad. It works for my needs. Using it as a spare storage for computer related equipment and a charging station for my batteries, laptop and apple stuff. Assembly was a little difficult because the pieces weren’t labeled. So I had to use pictures and do my best to identify which part goes where. Wheels do come with the cabinet but I’m not using them. Everything fits snug but door does stick out a little bit. It’s not perfect but it works for my setup.

Delivered as described, instructions work, if you follow them carefully, they can be a bit confusing sometimes. After assembling, I discovered I was missing one small hinge for the top of the door. I contacted South Shore by email and they addressed the issue immediately, shipping me a new part in days. Overall very good value for the money. Looks great, great support.

The stand arrived in good condition, was easy to put together, looks great, and is nice and solid. I'm using it for a printer stand. It's as wide as my South Shore desk is deep, so I have turned it sideways and butted it up against the desk. Perfect.One problem... it was missing a piece (i.e., nearly identical shelves, I received two of one, none of the other). I contacted South Shore via email, and they apologized and immediately sent me the missing piece (no ifs, buts, ands or maybes, and no questions asked). Perfect service, and--after a minor delay--a perfect product. You never know how good a company's service is until you need it, and I know from experience that both South Shore's service and products are excellent.

I can follow directions easily. As long as I have them. However the box didn't have any. So I got a guy to put it together for me. I fixed up his wife's computer and installed a new mesh network for him. It's all part of an illegal services swap group. This way we get things done and pay no fees or taxes!The piece is perfect and it has my huge colour laser printer on it and a lot of useful storage underneath. This is something that will probably be in use in the next century because it is so solid.

I bought this to hold my printer, paper and supplies. This stand is very sturdy and has a lot of storage space. It was very easy to put together. If you lay out the parts as shown in the manual it makes assembly very easy. It went together very fast as there at not a lot of parts. Instructions are easy to follow. Happy with this product.

Unit was easy to assemble and looks good! Usually received within a week of ordering!We have 4 units in our office that hold brother 5700 & 6700 Printers on them with all the shelving occupied with paper!
