Not military surplus but are Mil-Spec
I wore the USAF summer Nomex gloves for a very long time back in the 70's and 80's. These are a different color....the Nomex is a a darker green and the sheepskin palms are darker. However, they seem to be of the same quality as the actual USAF issued Nomex flying gloves. The quality seems to be excellent. The measurement guide is accurate....if you are halfway in between, order the smaller. ie 9.5 inches, definitely order the 9". They need to be snug fitting and there is a bit of stretch in the fit. I was looking for something to use as a shooting glove and these are perfect. I would highly recommend the product and the store.

Excellent product
These NOMEX fabric gloves are fire resistant just like race car drivers jumpsuits! The fine leather palms provide excellent tactile feel whether as driving gloves, or, as fine shooting gloves which is one of the ways I use them! As a military operator I prefer these to the ubiquitous military armored gloves on the market which I feel have certain features, like armored knuckles, but don’t have the tactile feel for good trigger control . . . and, they’re not constrictive!

Fireproof not Grunt proof
Really good and comfortable gloves, word of advise tho. Keep in mind they rip really easily under serious use but they work as intended. They saved my had during a live fire exercise. Remember guys dont grab hot suppressors without nomex gloves.

Didn't get right gloves, got insulated ones
I ordered the gloves hoping for the ones as seen in all the photos and I ended up receiving a winter Insulated version of them. Really thick and not form fitting in the least bit. Despite this, the gloves I received are good quality and I enjoy them. I'll just need to order a pair from elsewhere as well.Just wanted to let people know they may receive the wrong product.

worth it
Just like the ones I use to wear. Actually appear to be better quality than my old USN issued gloves. I wear them on my motorcycle and they have held up great.
