Car Door Sill Plate Protector Luminous for Subaru with Logo, Car Door Entry Guard Protection Sticker Self-Adhesive for Subaru, Carbon Black, Pack of 4

I bought these for our new Subaru Solterra. I cleaned the sill carefully and used the enclosed wipe, which appears to be some thing of a rubber cement. It would be a good idea if they included more than one of these. They also included a plastic spatula to aid in the clean application of these door sill protectors. This made getting out any bubbles easy. I think that for the price this is a good product that will serve its purpose for us. Both my husband and I use icy cleats in the winter, and these can damage the door sills of cars as they have in the past. I was looking to avoid this kind of damage, and I think this product will serve the purpose. My guess is that once a year or so they will have to be replaced but for this price that is a cheap price to pay for avoiding rust damage on the car. Here is my advice to anyone who is installing them: Start on the rear passenger side as practice and move to the driver's side read, than the front passenger side, and then the front driver's side. That way, by the time you get to the place that is most readily apparent every day, you will have a good idea of how to really make your applications perfect. There is a short quick learning curve on applying these in by the time I got to the fourth one I could do this for a living. Advice to the company, include for a little packs of wipes instead of one.

Overall quality and look is good but adhesive just doesn't do it didnt stick well due to edges on subaru forester 15, will try to glue it later.

Look great, but I didn’t get adhesion. I cleaned it with alcohol and dried it off as well.

All now I don't see it glow in the night. The adhesive is not strong especially on curves. Presentation is good.

They protect car and look great also. Put these on our car to protect the door seals

The reviews on these seem mixed, but I really didn't have any major issues with these fitting properly on my 2020 Subaru Crosstrek. The rear ones do initially seem like they won't work due to some contouring along the sill plate, but I didn't have much trouble adhering the sticker despite that (see first photo). Definitely clean the sill really well before you do anything - they also give you one small prep pad that is basically only good for 2 doors. Ideally, they would supply you a second pad knowing that one small one isn't going to be able to cover all 4 sills but I just used rubbing alcohol on the other doors. I used the included scraper to really make sure the sticker adhered well, especially along the part that folders over the sill.2 things I can't comment on:1. The illumination at night - I don't see how these would ever get to absorb enough daylight to illuminate at night (the doors close over them)2. Long term durability - with winter approaching and all the wet snow, we'll see if these hold up to that.UPDATED 1/17So I've noticed that the rear stickers are not staying stuck toward the outer edges. They are coming loose where the contouring prevents the sticker from laying flat. On initial application I was able to get it to stick, but clearly the longevity isn't there. The front driver and passenger sides are holding up well though. I just don't think the manufacturer accounted for the contouring of Subaru's rear doors with this product. I'm going to leave them as is because you can't really notice, but not sure how long they will ultimately last.

Much better than expected, very surprised. Applied well and have had no issues with peeling up. Haven’t really taken the time to assess the photo luminescent capability, was just looking for something sharp to protect the painted door sill. Fit the wide sill perfectly. This is probably a key feature as I can see that narrow sills might require trimming. Easy to apply and nice appearance.
