Not all of the islands allow cars (some prohibit all wheeled vehicles); but all can be reached by car with the assist of a ferry or bridge. Highlights include the unique historical, cultural and natural aspects of each island plus the ins and outs of how to get there, where to stay, what to do and what to bring. We've already visited a number of the islands that the author covers and her insights are very good. This gives me confidence that we can use this as an accurate guide for islands we haven't yet visited.
