French Burnt Peanuts: 5 LBS by Sconza

The product tastes great at a great price. However, they need a reusable bag like their competitors use. Also, similar brands ship much faster - usually within a day or two; while this company generally takes over a week.

The price per ounce was good, packaging was good, but the flavor of the candy coating tasted stale. The candy coating did not have that fresh crunch when you bite down on them. I'm a Brach's Burnt Peanuts fan and could not find the Brach's brand so I thought I would give these a try. I'm going back to Brach's where I've never been disappointed with the Quality and Freshness of their candy products!!!

The ones I got had a stale taste and weren't crunchy like others I have bought. I was very disappointed in how they tasted. I sent an email to Sconza about this and they said I could send the unopened bag back for a refund. Since I had to open the bag to taste them, I don't know how they thought I could send the bag back unopened. They claimed they had no problems with them being stale, but there were reviews by customers who thought they tasted old, stale, and gummy. Very unsatisfied with this product. They did come on time and replied back to my email within the hour, so I did give them 2 stars.

They have a fresh taste especially if you love peanuts with a coating. I have purchased them about 4 times. Still working on my 4th bag love them will be purchasing more.

The color of the product stains if I hold a handful. There are also many large (marble sized) pieces that are very very hard. Don't appear to have any nut inside. They are great for a quick sweet crunch fix.

I DO NOT recommend buying these! The only positive thing I can say is they arrived a couple days after ordering them... I wish I could return them, but unfortunatly there are no returns allowed on this item so I am out the $65.88! I ordered 3 of the 5LB bags ($21.96 each), which all arrived today. So excited, I opened one of the three bags and tried them, instantly spitting them back out as they have a very weird, hard to describe taste and after taste (not candy taste at all). So thinking maybe I got one bad bag, I opened one of the other ones and it was the same thing, this time the underlaying nut was not crunchy it was kind of soggy. I didn't even bother tasting the 3rd bag.

LIKE IT VERY MUCH

I keep these stocked at home as a quick sweet fix. I have been buying these for a while now and they are always fresh and ship fast. Best value that I have found thus far.
