I currently live with my parents, and even as a grown adult, they still like to come in unannounced. I bought this to “encourage” them to start knocking before they come in. I’ve been able to test the durability of it, and it works really well. I haven’t tried it on a thick front door but for your room, if you don’t have a lock and don’t wanna go through the hassle of changing it, this is a cheap reliable alternative. The good thing is that it’s not quite when someone tries to open it. The chain and metal parts will rattle and alert you that someone is trying to get in. It’s ajustable and has two different size holes to put into your door. You might have to maneuver around it a little if the door is in a tight space, but over all, very easy to use and secure. If you don’t have a lock and you want to keep your right to basic privacy in your own home, this is the way to go.

This lock works amazing, has 2 sizes for the door hole. Installing it and unlocking your door, there’s no way someone can break in when this is on. I feel so so safe! Great find I completely recommend!

Works as expected and is great for travel. It fits most doors and is easy to use.However, be careful when removing it, especially if the door knob doesn’t fully retract when you turn it. If the knob doesn’t go all the way in, it can get stuck against the lock and block the passage, making the door difficult to open. Because of this, it may not be ideal in an emergency situation.

It was a little tricky for a few minutes as to figure out how to insert in the door frame and lock. But we looked on YouTube and instructions were visual and clearly demonstrated. A few minutes later, my husband had it installed 🚪 and door was secured. Tried to open the door and could not budge with this portable lock so we’re happy.We’re living in an Inn for a few months and it gives another layer of security for us.Highly recommend. We use this for our bedroom door that wont stay shut and opens easily when pushed by our cat. It holds the door shut perfectly.

Not meant for hotel doors or anything that's not a basic bedroom door style lock.Went to the cities with my baby cousin and decided to give this a try. Neither side fit the hotel door but it did fit the bedroom door so I guess that's something. Works great when on the correct door and there's definitely no way of getting in unless the door gets busted down.

Used in Italy and when I travel to have extra protection and it helped me feel so much safer!
