Naturally Fresh Cat Litter Made From Walnut Shells, Pellet Non-Clumping, Sustainable, and Upcycled, 26 Lbs

I had 4 kittens & was learning all about how to care for them-they were only a lil over a month old!! Got this litter after realizing that small kittens should start off with pellets first because they can try to consume sandy litter (which they did try to do!) Immediately I came across this litter. Been using it for almost 2months now. This was a more natural & safer option for sure! The 26lb bag is soo big I couldn’t even carry it on my own at first! So worth the price for the quantity!! Also love that it’s all natural!! I feel so good knowing that. Oddly enough I really love the smell of it too lol. It definitely has an earthy aroma like many others mentioned. And it’s very easy to clean up compared to other litter- doesn’t track. It lasts a long time too! As a pregnant woman right now I usually have to end up cleaning my kittens litter boxes.. well I love that it masks the smell pretty good (when my kitties do good covering their poo) and it really does reduce the ammonia ! At first it was a little difficult to clean but then I learned that I just have to scoop out the poop-and if there’s parts that look dark (because of their urine) I scoop that out too. Then I mix the pellets up with the scooper & add a little fresh litter on top. I also scoop out the parts that break down into dirt. Then after almost two weeks you can change the whole thing! (The directions explain that a bit) I ended up giving two of my kittens to my sister once they learned to do things on their own & I sent them with this litter which they are still continuing to use for them. They love it & have never used or seen litter like this! I know it’s just litter but this is amazing litter & I plan on keeping them with this kind of litter & this brand! ***If you have small kittens & they are potty training- go with this one! So worth it & brings some peace of mind knowing it’s all from nature.. <3 UPDATE (a several months later) ** : Now that my kitties have gotten a lil older & they are definitely a lot bigger, I had to switch them over to the quick clumping litter. I absolutely love it for them! & they cover their business a lot better now too. Honestly was easy & perfect timing to switch from the pellets to the quick clumping. They do amazing with this kind. My sisters ended up switching to regular litter for the kitties I gave them after a while because they didn’t want to keep paying this much for this kind. And they thought it didn’t mask the smell that good but they’re probably realizing the regular kind they have now doesn’t do any better and it has more harsh stuff in it. I notice such a huge difference with their litter vs mine. Mine (which is this brand-quick clumping) masks the smell alot better!! And doesn’t track as much as theirs. I definitely suggest once your kitties get a little bigger to switch from pellet to quick clumping. The price is worth it for me, my fur babies deserve the best & this is it. It took alot for me to train my kitties when they were tiny to use the pellets but I had the time & I succeeded. It was an easy breezy beautiful transition to the quick clumping kind! Hehe I can tell my cats love the way the quick clumping feels on their paws, they have never given me a problem w it at all. It is truly the best litter ever. UPDATE #2 FOR ALPINE MEADOW MULTIPLE: I decided to try this instead of using the un scented single cat one that I’ve been using for a while now since I have two cats and sometimes their litter will smell & kinda goes by fast. At first I didn’t like the smell very much but now I don’t mind it at all, it actually does mask the smell wayyy better than the quick clumping single cat one with no scent! I keep liking each one I switch to more & more! I will be using this one for as long as I need to now. I think we should get hooked up after buying a certain amount since I’ve bought so many bags now😂!! This one so far is definitely lasting better since it’s for more than one kitty & anything scented is better for me even though I will miss that earthy aroma. Although I said about the last two kind, I think this one is the best for sure! We’ve come along way!! Lol

I wish I found this sooner. I have always had granular and I've been fed up for so long about how much my cat tracks it. I've tried a few brands over the years. I assumed that any kind of pellets the pee would just puddle at the bottom and be messy. Im used to really fragrant nice smelling ones. That part I miss. But no more tracking!! I've been doing so much less vacuuming. This isn't messy at all. You need to stay on top of scooping of course like with anything. But man this stuff works. Dries out the poop hardly smell it. They do get crumbly and wet looking after being saturated but no puddles at the bottom. My cat does pee at the very back or corner of the littler and doesnt seem to step or drag that part out. So that's good. Or it's not sticking to him. I do find more than a couple pellets right outside the box but before the granular was being tracked for several feet and all over my house really. So glad I switched. If your are too save some of your old litter and mix it in the frist time so they can smell it.

Started using these pellets over regular clumping litter and will from now on stick to pellets. Pros: pleasantly smells like wood (there is no "litter odor" in the apartment), our old cat sits all the way on the litter when she pees (and since these are pallets that don't clump, the liquid seeps through keeping her fur more dry than with regular litter. NO TRACKING AROUND THE APARTMENT AND NO STUCK LITTER ON CATS PAWS!!! Cons: Doesn't clump so you have to look for the "wet" pallets to take out and it's hard to get them all out. You will inevitable end up with more powdery consistency at the bottom of the bag, but there is no way around it How we use: take out the poop and "wet pellets" 1-2 times per day and refill as needed for 2 weeks. Once per 2 weeks completely replace box with fresh pellets. This works great for us

Update: I added a photo just to give an idea of how much litter is sacrificed, even for a small area. That’s from one spot of pee from a 5 week old kitten. The initial pee spot was less than a 2in. x 2in. spot. If you catch it right away you might be able to save it from soaking to the bottom. If not it spreads out and disintegrates the litter around it in a much wider area. Because it disintegrates you can’t just get the affected litter, you end up having to take some clean litter with it. So one small pee spot filled up half of a medium-sized pet waste bag. Add another kitten on top of that and I’m basically losing half the litter box per day, and a whole bag of litter every 1 1\2 - 2 weeks. As the title says, necessary for their safety. But I can’t wait until they’re old enough for clumping litter lol. Original Review: I rescued a couple 5 week old strays from outside. I bought them clumping litter, but they started to eat it. Did a bit of research and found out it can become like concrete in their stomachs and block them from passing anything. So I bought a bag of these pellets to keep them safe. Overall it's a good litter. It doesn't track everywhere as bad as gravely litter (sucks when you find cat litter on your sheets and pillows), and my room doesn't smell like cat litter dust. It also blocks the urine smell really well. I can't comment on the poop since these guys haven't figured out how to bury that yet. But the major problem is when they pee it goes straight to the bottom of the box, spreads out and saturates the litter at the bottom, and then all of that litter disintegrates into a powdery substance that falls through the scoop. That means every time I go to scoop it out after they pee I end up losing about half-a-litter-box worth of clean litter along with it. In 10 days I'm already 3/4 through the 26lbs bag and am doing a full clean twice a week. At $16 it's not THAT bad of an investment just for the safety reassurance (they don't try to eat this litter). But this isn't likely something I'll keep buying once they get older and I can switch over to clumping litter.

I used this as cat litter and bunny litter and it was much better for rabbits than cats. For cats it really didn’t cover the smell and didn’t do anything at all for their poops. It smelled sooooo bad. For bunnies it was perfect and absorbed everything!

I love that it comes from sustainable recycling and I wish I could like the litter. However the absorbency is long lasting, as it takes forever for cat urine to saturate it enough to disintegrate, not a plus for me. When the pellets finally do disintegrate it is potent with ammonia, another negative, as we switched to pellet litter to completely avoid the ammonia smell. In low light conditions poo is hard to discern from pellets. Lastly the pellets are so small that they fall right through our basic sifting litter boxes, and they are big enough that they do not go through a regular cat litter sifter scoop. We had a good experience with pine litter, and now an excellent experience with corn based clumping litter. I would recommend those as alternatives to this.

Best cat litter ever! No messy granules everywhere and it doesn’t stink. My small apartment does NOT smell like litter or cats. Seriously, it only smells if you don’t remove poop daily or when it’s time to change. Daily scooping + shake to settle the pee powder is super easy and not messy, it takes like 1 minute to do. Every 2 weeks I dump the whole thing, give it a good wipe with a sanitizer, then replace with fresh litter. This takes about 10 minutes. Easy peasy. And affordable. I will never go back to regular cat litter!

This product is in my opinion the best litter available.. there is no dust to injure the small and sensitive lungs of my cat.. That’s the number one selling point for me.. The litter adequately absorbed cat urine.. there’s no pooling of liquid.. this product Also does a great job of containing and controlling any litter odor . It doesn’t clump as well as some other products but the protection of my cat’s lung function is my premier concern and it does clump enough to allow for substantial removal with litter scoop.. it does break apart and some soiled litter is lost back into the litter box.. I don’t find this to be a major problem as it blends in with the remaining dry litter and I always add a renewal layer of fresh litter after scooping..

After using naturally fresh non clumping pellets I will never go back to clay litter. It doesn't track, there's no dust and the odor control is phenomenal. It's a much different scooping experience compared to clay litter. First you scoop out solid waste which is really easy as the pellets draw all the moisture out rather quickly resulting in a clean an unsmelly scoop. Compared to clay litters, scooping this stuff is sort of the opposite, while clay forms hard lumps as it gets wet. These pellets disintegrate into a texture like ground coffee, so you push the top layer of intact pellets to one side of the litter box and scoop out the broken down stuff underneath and then repeat for the other side of the litter box. It doesn't stick to the box and scoops out so easily. Bonus it's much more lightweight which is particularly helpful if you have multiple cat boxes in a basement to haul waste from.

I switched to this because sand litter just tracks so much and this one doesn’t. It also lessens the smell of the cat pee and I don’t have to add more every time I clean the litter box. In my opinion, it’s also easier to clean, I use tongs to pick out the solids and use a sifter to get the parts that have been soaked by cat pee. My cats love it and they didn’t mind the change and started using it immediately. A really good product to switch to, and I’ll keep using it!

You need a sifter in order for this litter to work. I rather just scoop like normal. You get a lot for the price though which was the only upside for me. Took my cats a long time to get used to it as well just for me to have to switch to a different litter.

I live in an humid climate and it constantly moulds in the litter box.... not my cat's pee and poo This hasn't happened with any other litter that weve used.
