Awesome Value for Consumer-grade Personal Safety Product
There are a LOT of pedestrians and cyclists hit by motor vehicles where we live now. It's crazy. We have a toddler. I recently bought 15 of these lights (order of 6 and order of 9) and strapped a couple on my daughter's Radio Flyer, a couple more on her leash harness, put 1 in my wife's purse, put a few more in each go bag, etc. I ended up paying about $2 each, and that's a tiny price to pay if 1 accident is avoided. We've used them on my daughter's stuff twice already, and they work really well. I tested them and all of our lights work fine. They came with a stash of spare batteries, short Velcro & elastic straps, tiny screwdrivers, and an aluminum locking carabiner (between the 2 kits). You will see these lights bearing several different logos and brand names just on Amazon. Same lights; different "wrappers." But both of my purchases came from this brand/vendor where I'm posting the review because they were the best bang for the buck I found. Some reviews complain about lights that break easily or don't work, but I have none of that. Are they expedition grade personal strobe lights? Nope! But those cost at least $20 each and almost none of you need one. These are awesome for walks, hikes, bike rides, etc around your neighborhood in any light or weather conditions you may do those things in.

Very bright, difficult to change batteries
This is my second purchase of these lights, from separate vendors. The differences between the two models are subtle, and don't affect usability. The lights are much brighter than you might expect. If you look directly at them in the dark, they'll kill your night vision. There are three "on" modes: sequential strobing, which gives an up/down or right/left effect, flashing, where all the LEDS are lit or out at once, and steady on. I haven't conducted any battery life studies, but I assume that the batteries will last much longer with one of the strobe/flash modes.I've had only one light exhaust its batteries. Each light takes two CR2032 coin cell batteries. The battery compartment is accessible by removing four VERY small screws with an included screwdriver. The screws come out easily enough, but you need dexterity and, ideally, small hands to get them back in place. Pay attention to the configuration of the batteries, i.e. which side goes up in the place for each battery. One slot has the positive side up, and the other has the positive side down.I use these to clip onto my dog's harness when we take nighttime walks. I know the lights are bright, because I've had cars half a mile away hit their high beam headlights to see what the flashy light thing ahead of them was. Another use I could see would be to mark the location of a mailbox or driveway on a dark road when you're expecting visitors who don't know where the house is. Someone might come along and steal the light, but the lights aren't expensive, and you have a box of nine.

Same as the rest... With one caveat
So if you are struggling to choose between this brand and 100 others don't... They are identical except for one issue I ran into. For some reason I've had 1 (or 2) of the 3 I'm using power cycle (power button being pressed) really easily. For a little context I use these on my Siberian Husky's collar, when walking at night. The other brand I bought doesn't do this but for whatever reason when she shakes etc one (or more) of these does.I should say this though - These are a really good deal (compared to some others) because they come with screwdrivers, elastic bands (to strap to) and batteries. But make sure you really pay attention to how they clip on to something - before you buy them. They have alligator style clip ons and even though they have ridges (to grip the material) they don't do well with thicker fabrics etc.Hope this helps

Hazard lights for horse back riding at dusk.
I put one of these on each side of my horses bridle and one attached to each D-ring behind the cantle. Added a bright headlight to my helmet. I live in a canyon on a road that is not well lit. I ride 2-3 blocks to the trail and these work as well as some bicycle lights. They are really easy to turn on or off and have a regular blinking function, a fast blink and a steady on. The only negative I have is that they are only held to their velcro straps by a plastic clip which is not as secure as I would like. I wish there was a hole to thread a key ring through or to make a more secure attachment. We dropped one on the trail, but luckily, I had turned it on and it was very bright so I picked it up on the way home. I have lots more uses for these.

Great for Walking in the Dark
We often go walking in the wee hours of the morning and it can be very dark. These lights are nice and bright and easily visible from passing cars. They do go through batteries and the batteries can be replaced but it's not a simple task. On the other hand, it does give me a use for all those CR2032 batteries from the car remotes that wear out. I would say the batteries will last a good 4-6 weeks of daily use for 1 hour before they start getting too dim. But considering you get 9 of these WITH batteries (18 batteries total) for less than $15, it's not such a bad deal, considering CR2032 batteries are about 50 cents each and it takes 2 batteries. These lights do provide good bang for the buck.

Perfect for walking our dog at night!
We live in a hillside community with very narrow roads (some of which are poorly lit). These are perfect for walking our dog at night. The straps are tiny. You can't fit it around your arm or wrist. But you can wrap it around a couple of fingers or the handlebars of a bicycle, etc. I think these are a great value. Love the tiny screwdrivers that come with each light. I do think it would be great to add a white or clear light but the red, green and blue are a great variety for sure. I definitely recommend this product.

These are perfect! Bright, light, and versatile
My wife and I go walking at about 5:30 each morning, and we have reflective belts that we wear that are excellent, but my wife likes more. She has been using lights that wrap around her shoes, but we have had problems with them slipping off. I have size 14EE shoes, so they would not work with me. We found these and they are MUCH better than we expected. We attach them to our belt, one in front and one in back. You can choose steady light, fast blink, or slow blink. They attach very firmly and would also attach to shoes, clothing, etc. These are so much better for us and don't slip off!
