Extremely effective
Okay, this is probably my favorite impulse purchase that I've ever made. I got a 2-pack on sale for $15, but I'd pay the full $25. We live in Oklahoma, and flies are a constant issue in the summer. The kids go in and out and flies are always coming in and not out. We've tried fly strips, weird homemade fly trap concoctions, salt guns, regular fly swatters, etc. Nothing has ever worked well. These aren't perfect, because you do still need to hit the fly, but you don't have to wait for them to land, and if you have good aim, you can get them pretty quickly. Even with bad aim, I can still usually get them within a few minutes. Tips: 1) If you see where the fly falls after hitting it, hit it again. Sometimes they're just stunned and not dead with the first whack. However, even if they aren't dead, they tend to die pretty quickly afterwards. 2) These are great with fruit flies. They tend to congregate around our highchair, so I just smack the seat with the racket a few times and it kills the majority of them. 3) These also work really well with spiders. There was a big spider on the floor, so I smacked it with the racket and not only did it kill it instantly, its gross body was in the racket, so I could just tap the racket against the trash can and not have to actually touch anything. So awesome. My husband made fun of me when I got these, but now he loves them and uses them constantly. My 4yo has gone in and out of the house at least a dozen times so far this morning, and there are no flies buzzing around the house. It is glorious. Oh, and I charged them when they first arrived a month ago and have not had to charge them since, so great battery life. Zero regrets, I love these so much.

Function and Fun!
Quiet honestly, I never expected to enjoy a product so much! Over this summer, in southeast Texas, I had an Amityville type invasion of flies. It was horror for sure. These were same day delivery and I got to work immediately. I must confess a sick satisfaction with each pop and sizzle, delighting in the added light show of each roasting enemy on the paddle...the smell, not so great. However, these are great, get the job done, rechargeable, and offer amusement as well! No more flies! PS: It might be sick but I kinda want to open the door and let more in so I can play bug massacre.

Zapping mosquitoes!
Nothing more satisfying than swooping the racket by your feet and hearing pesky mosquitoes getting the zap! Works well and holds a charge for quite a while

Mosquitos stand no chance!
This one was a hit and miss. It came with two zappers. One of them broke after about 10 uses, the other one however has been going strong! We've killed over a hundred mosquitos and successfully caught two flies. If you've got a fly problem then I think this racket might be a little cumbersome. The size and weight work against you for fast bugs because you find yourself fighting yourself while using it. A part of you wants to go full speed to catch the bug and the other part of you wants to slow it down so you don't slam your racket into the furniture, electronics or other appliance that is near by you when the flys are nagging. However when you're dealing with mosquitoes this racket is amazing! You can literally just hover slowly towards the mosquito and you don't even need to hit it hard. Just a simple touch and zap! It's history. I bought two for work, one for me and one for my corworkers. I don't know what caused the other one to die but the one I have left is well appreciated by all my co-workers and the cheers and laughters that ensue when you hear the pop has made me the go to guy for pest control entertainment. Batteries last about 10 days of active mosquito hunting and it has a few safety features built in. For one, it won't power up unless you turn the switch to either on or LED mode. LED mode is a gimmick honestly. It serves no useful purpose but what I can tell you is if you touch it while it's active it will give you one heck of a jolt. The scare of the jolt far exceeds the pain but it is enough to remind you not to treat it like a toy because it's not.

Best fly swatter I’ve ever used!
This fly swatter works so well that I often find myself telling all of my friends and family members just how much they need one of these fly swatters in their life! I even persuaded my mother to try this for swatting her flies at home, and my friend was/is super excited to use this swatter in her home in Lake Tahoe! I actually gave her the 2nd fly swatter that came in the package of two! I will say that for bigger flies, you may have to swat them a few times, in orde to get them to go down! That being said, these fly swatters work incredibly well for killing average size house flies, and with just one quick swipe of the wrist! I also appreciate that they are rechargeable and don’t require the use of batteries at all! The only flaw I see is that the flies will avoid you sometimes when they see the attached flashlight shine in their faces! The flashlight is a new feature and I’m not convinced that it’s helpful in killing flies at all. Try this swatter for yourself! You definitely won’t be disappointed and you sure can’t beat the price if you ask me!

Kills bugs dead
I've had these swatters for a while but have only had a couple opportunities to use them. Just killed a yellowjacket in my house today and it worked great, so I had to give it a 5 star review. You don't really need to "swat" the bug out of the air. Just wait for it to land, and slowly lower the energized swatter over it. If the bug is disturbed, it will fly right up into the swatter and get zapped with a few satisfying "pops" and sparks. I can't comment on the UV light being useful, never needed it.

I hate flies
Once upon a time, I purchased a bug zapper racket from an Aldi (literally like 5 years ago). Well, it crapped out on me a few months back. Super bummer. Well, my neighbors had purchased the much more expensive name brand version of these a while back, when they were not so expensive. And they were awesome and rechargeable. I figured there has to be a version thats pretty similar but not as expensive ($45, no thanks), especially when my original one only cost me $4.99. So after a couple hours of researching different rackets, I decided to take a chance on these. These were cheaper and had a comparable voltage to the more expensive ones; which I wanted that high voltage to fry some bugs. I figured if they were awful, I could just return them. Pretty sure they came within just a couple of days, because, Prime. Noticed that they are far lighter than the more expensive ones (which, it would probably be helpful if I could remember the name of the more expensive name brand ones, but I for the life of me, can not. But they look pretty much exactly the same). Due to the light weight, thought maybe they wouldn't be too durable if I "whacked" a bit too hard on the counter. Mind you, I dont mean "whacked too hard," like slamming it like I'm trying to squash a mouse. But a good amount of force. Well, let me tell you. These. are. fantastic. I am frying flies left and right. Literally, frying until you can smell the burnt hair. I will say I haven't tried it on a cockroach yet; those suckers are definitely hard to take out as they are usually too large to touch the inner screen where all the voltage is. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because even after you release the button that turns the zapping power on, there is still some zappy power left. Had a 3 year old find this out, sheerly by accident. I had set the racket down after aggressively killing a bunch of flies, and as a precaution said "don't touch" (the parents were right there too). But what did he do? Touched it. Touched his little finger directly between the little protective screens onto the "hot" screen. Heard a quiet little zap. Quickly followed by "ow." Literally, just "ow." So for the most part, doesn't really heart so much as it does shocks/scares you. I'm sure if you did it enough, it may hurt, so I'm not suggesting that. Just more of a precaution, but also, don't need to worry all that much type of thing. A word of warning though; if you do become TOO overly aggressive with killing bugs, do not be alarmed if you end up with tennis elbow. Yes. I got tennis elbow. *I paid $26.99 when I purchased; currently they show $22.99
