Update as of 01/01/2020. - The clock is just as described in the description, about 3 inches in diameter. It has a large suction cup that covers the entire back side of the silicone cover. I think this is where a lot of people are having problems. I am a little ashamed to admit it, but when I got the clock, I too looked at it for a couple of minuted wondering how to put the battery in. I then called myself a couple of names and pulled the clock out of the protective silicone cover. The eggshell colored soft material is NOT the clock, it is the silicone cover. The clock is inside the silicone cover. You have to peel back the silicone cover a little, pull and push the clock out. You can then grip the rear 1/4 inch of the back with one hand and hold the front with the other. You have to turn the rear of the clock about a 1/4 inch, you may have to wriggle the front and back a little, but the turn is only a little bit. Once the back cover is off, install the battery is easy and replacing the cover and clock into the silicone cover is also easy. I had to come back to this review to get back off. It was not the fault of the clock. Apparently, the seal is tight, I had forgotten how to open it. It had to be tight to be waterproof for a bathroom clock. It is still working, keeping perfect time. I had not had to change the battery, I took the chance to do so, since I was already there. This clock is still working perfectly. Keeps perfect time, no problems with it at all. Would definitely recommend this clock. Review: WORKING FINE NOW --- after some initial problems - I bought this as a shower clock. (I do hot-cold showers in which I alternate a minute of two of hot with a minute or two of cold water; I need to time how long I spend in each temperature, so bought a water-resistant clock). I initially had some problems: 1) IT FELL OFF THE SHOWER WALL. (I stuck it up in my shower on a piece of clean, dry ceramic tile. It fell off a couple of hours later.) (Then I tried again... the second time, it stuck fine, and has stayed on the tile for over a month with no problems. I don't know why it fell the first time.) 2) WATER GOT INSIDE OF IT. It's water-resistant, so you'd think it would stay dry inside if used in the shower. But it doesn't. It can actually collect water inside. I discovered this originally when I removed the rubber outer casement to change the batteries, and found a little pool of water inside. I dried it out, swapped out the batteries, then checked it again a couple of weeks later... again, there was water in there. I don't know what causes this - leaking? condensation? - but either way, it's obviously problematic for an electrical appliance. 3) IT STOPPED RUNNING. I noticed this about a month after getting it. The clock would literally stop. (The second hand would stop circling). (I noticed this because it was more than two hours off, at one point!) I'd tap it and it would start again. Very odd! 4) BUT IT'S RUNNING FINE NOW. When it stopped working, I took it down, took the plastic cover off, changed the batteries, dried out the water which had collected inside, and put in new batteries. It's been working fine ever since. It has kept perfect time now for over a month (after totally stopping, the first time I used it.) 5) IN SUM -- What to think? I'm honestly not sure. All the problems I describe above were real, but it's been working well now for several weeks. I would just say, if you buy it, keep an eye on it and be aware that those sorts of problems can sometimes occur.

WORKING FINE NOW --- after some initial problems

GREAT BATH CLOCK
Perfect size for my small bathroom. Suctioned well to a 5x5 inch porcelain tile. Easy to remove from pliable suction base to change battery.

Installing battery not for weak
I almost returned this clock because 15 minutes of fidgeting with it I could not remove the cap to install battery Thought of using screw driver or knife but that could damage the plastic cover Finally figured it out. Twist the cap clockwise and anti clockwise 5 to 10 times in rapid succession the cover should come off Minute and second hands are silver colored makes it hard to read time against the white marble of my shower stall Otherwise looks pretty

Waste of Money
AWFUL! 1st of all it was impossible to open! I had to pry the back open with a screwdriver just to be able to put the battery in. Then once I got it off and put the battery in it wouldn't even work, it was like the clock was dead. I tried multiple batteries to make sure that it wasn't the fault of a dead battery. Overall a waste of my money!

Great bathroom clock!
I don’t have it in the actual shower but on the wall in the bathroom. It gets steamed up all the time. Very quiet and unobtrusive. Love it!

Poor quality.
It’s exactly what I was looking for to help my daughter keep track of her time in the shower, but it’s been less than a week and already the paper backer is curling at the top. Doesn’t seem to be sealed well enough to handle the humidity.

Perfect for the mirror over the sink!
This little clock is just right. I have it on the mirror over the bathroom sink and it is easy to see, and of course it works perfectly. Love it!

I purchased this about 18 months ago and it has not moved, loosened or fallen off my shower wall. It clearly shows the time even in the hottest shower. Changed batteries once so far. Very good deal.

Works well, but is VERY hard to open to replace battery.

This clock was purchased so that my 14-year-old son can be aware of the time that he takes in the shower and limit his time on school days. The display is very large and easy to see. The four suction cups on the back keep the clock suck on the bathroom tile very well. It is also interesting to watch the temperature and humidity level rise from the shower water. The clock face does get a little steamy in the shower, but the display can still be read clearly. This is a really great clock!

Worked well for a year and a half. Now, it makes noise and the new battery lasts a only couple days.
