This Label Maker is the best label maker I've ever owned and I've been buying label makers for 40 years. It's simple to use. Has tons of options for fonts, size, etc. So smooth. Excellent print ability. Very happy with this purchase. High quality for the price.

This ended up being exactly what I wanted. I was concerned at first thai would not be able to see the print on 3.5mm labels, but with an adjustment of the font using most of the label width, it's perfect. I also ended up using it to label my packout drawers and visibility is very good. The quality of print is great especially when using the bold, no bleeding and great visibility. Another good aspect is it's size, it is compact and does not take up much space. Loads of features for all needs. Extremely glad I made this purchase.

We purchased this for our homeschool organization efforts. It was a recommendation based on a previous model. Things we like: + Its cute & compact design. + Compared to the previous model, it has loads of font choices. + We like the ability to use it with batteries (ALTHOUGH IT DOES TAKE 6 AAA BATTERIES; NOT INCLUDED) or plug-in (NOT INCLUDED). + We like that it's not some obnoxious color (I'm happy that it's not a black blob on my desk). White and gray is good. It matches the Epson Ecotank we own. + The tape is awesome! It sticks well to objects, even ones that curve, like the pen I show in one example. + The backing on the tape is easy to remove, because there is a split down the backing, as you can see in my other photo. + I like the font choices. + It prints at a tolerable speed. Things we don't like: + IT DOESN'T COME WITH A CORD TO PLUG IT INTO THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET!! - This was an unwelcome surprise! + The location for the plug is at the back left corner of the printer, and when you are printing, the printed tape comes out the back right (curled) and bumps into the power cable. I think it would have been better had they designed it such that the printed tape emerged from the left and the plug was on the right. + You have to be at the right angle in order to see the screen. I can't sit at my desk and use the printer. I have to stand whilst typing and looking at the screen. + As other reviewers have mentioned, it does waste tape by having almost an inch at the start and an inch at the end of blank tape. I get around wasting a lot of tape by printing a whole line of whatever I need to print with 3 spaces in between each label. I think I can get 8 inches of text on a tape before there is no more space in memory. For example: "Blue 03 Orange 04 Red 05" Those 3 spaces give me enough room to cut in between each label. I'll get back to you on the value for money after I've used it for a year. I do hope it lasts that long and longer.

This is an amazing product. Easy to set up, easy to follow instructions, and nicely designed. Fast print speed. Waterproof labels with easy application adhesive on back. Great keyboard spacing for typing.

From Brother.com - here is what I found out about the screen. Adjust the LCD contrast! To adjust the LCD contrast: 1. Adjust the contrast setting: a. Press Menu. b. Press ◄ or ► to select LCD Contrast. c. Press OK and the current setting is displayed. d. Press ◄ or ► to select the contrast setting. There are five settings: -2, -1, 0, +1, +2. e. Press OK to set the contrast. - If the LCD is difficult to read, go to the next step. 2. Since the label printer does not have a backlight, the angle of the label printer and the lighting conditions can affect how well the display can be viewed. For optimum viewing, place the label printer on a flat surface and view the display at a 45-degree angle. 3. New out of the box label printers have a protective film on the display that needs to be removed. Removing the film slightly improves the display's contrast and brightness. a. Using your fingertips or fingernails, separate the protective film from the LCD display from the top right or left corner. b. Pull the Mylar protective film completely away from the display to expose the smooth finished surface. Discard the protective film. 3. If the contrast was better but now it is harder to read, try printing a label to test if the batteries are low. The LCD can be difficult to read when the batteries are low. 4. If the LCD is still difficult to read with brand new batteries, you may wish to purchase a label printer with a backlight LCD. So, for me it was first, remove the mylar tape on the screen. I did not notice that there was something on the screen itself. Then I followed up with the LCD contrast and it made a big difference. I wish I had purchased one with a backlight screen but did not realize that was an option. All in all, I will say that this is a nice label printer.

Easy to use. No big learning curve. There are several P-touch printers made. Unless you absolutely need to connect you P-touch to your computer, this is the one that 90% of consumers need. Runs seemingly forever on AA Batteries. Dozens of fonts and label styles. What more could you ask for. Just do it!

This is an excellent labeller and very easy to use.

Really disappointed to have spent £63 on this label maker to find that there was no power lead with it!
