All of them have broken after a year or so of use. Once the cheap ones break, you can see the quality of the metal. Lifting a Dayton and a cheapie, you can tell the difference in weight and therefore the difference in the quality of the metal. I have had 4 of these in the shop for the past 5 or 6 years and they are still going strong. I use them to pump various weight oils and fluids during regular car and fleet maintenance. I did have one of these fail on me. This one was being used to pump waste oil into a waste oil heater to heat the shop. Eventually the grit inside the waste oil got into the vane pump mechanism and eventually made grooves inside of the vane housing and lost suction and could no longer pump. But this was after 5 or 6 years of pumping dirty waste oil from the container into the heater. I'll never buy anything else in this price range.
