Putco 287401W Neutron White 7440 LED Bulb - Pair

This light will NOT be brighter than your stock brake light and you will be putting yourself in danger of being rear ended. It is a serious design flaw to put just 3 led lights pointing out the back. The cars reflector is designed for a bulb that outputs light in all directions, and it reflects that out the rear of your car.If you can find an LED replacement that shines in all directions, try it. But avoid this light, it is much DIMMER than your stock light. Anyone that says otherwise is putting up a fake review.PLEASE, if you fall for a fake review, come back here after you return the light and warn others.

Though I had very positive expectations about this new LED Bulb for my Honda Civic EX, it turned out that the bulb doesn't fit so it was a wasted purchase.

OK, they work and they are very bright but the pictures of the product on Amazon and on the (excessive) product packaging clearly and prominently show 'made in USA'. The product I received has a different aluminum ring than shown and nowhere on the product does it state where it's made only Pat pending and putco.com. I suspect this is clever marketing to charge a higher price to those who prefer American products and are willing to pay a bit more for them. There are cheaper lights available that are likely just as good minus the excessive packaging and deception. Beware! I feel I paid for something I didn't get...

1. Wrong light for application2. Damaged light socket when placed3. No way on Amazon to cross check for correct light4. When searching for light on amazon this bulb popped upManufacturer states will not damage light sockets. Well after replacing my wiring harnesses for both rear tail lights $475.00 the manufacturer is happy to reimburse me for the bulbs $45.00 wooflippinhoo! Putcos amazon website is ambiguous and unclear. I won't be doing business with them again and I don't think anybody else should until they are able to be more specific with applications for their LED bulbsVery dissatisfied

These seems to be decent quality, but the layout and LED placement are terrible. As another reviewer posted, these do not use the oem reflector at all and just make a small light dot on the lens. Much dimmer than the stock incandescent bulbs (that are 17 years old!). I will be returning these unsafe bulbs.
