Amazing Mount - Punches Way Above Its Weight
It is rare that I am impressed with something I get from Amazon. Usually, I am relatively happy with my purchases, but it is rare that I feel that I got a tremendous value for my money.Receiving this mount was one of those rare times. This is a substantial product. It has thick arms and comes with screws that could be used to assemble a tank (they are meant for masonry installations, which thankfully, I did not have to attempt). The mount easily held the Visio 32 inch TV, which itself was much, much lighter than the mount! As expected from an adjustable mount, the mount swivels from side to side, and has a small downwards adjustment (somewhere around 8 to 10 degrees), which means that you can't mount it too high, because then the sight lines may seem a little off. While the arms have tension, it is not too hard to move them to get your perfect TV adjustment. Once in position, the arms don't move or drift at all.The easiest way to use this mount, which happened to be the way that I did it, is to screw it directly onto a wood (or metal) stud inside a wall. That way, you will not have any movement in the arm, and the arm should easily be able to support the weight of your TV (which likely will be heavier than mine). In addition to the thick gauge strong arms and base mount, you get in the package a variety of screws and mounting arms and appendages, ostensibly to use to attach different sized TVs to the mount. All of the parts seem to be nicely made and substantial, although I did not need them because my TV came with screws already in the back and it fit the mount without the extra arms.Further, you get a bonus 10' nylon wrapped HDMI cord AND a level. The level, while not the most expensive level in the world, is particularly useful if you don't own or forgot to bring your level, because it was accurate and helped tremendously in making sure that mount won't be crooked. On the neutral side, there are a couple of plastic covers on the part of the mount that is attached to the wall and the arms of the mount that are not particularly impressive looking, and seem flimsy. Other than cosmetics, I don't really think they have any purpose is, although they do make the mount look a little nicer and less industrial. They don't affect the mount's strength at all (which is substantial) and if you don't care for their look (I thought they looked fine) it doesn't really matter because they are easily removed and the mount is behind the TV anyway.Overall, a tremendous purchase. Well worth the price of 4 coffees at Starbucks, for a mount that is so strong, that if installed properly, you can probably do pull-ups on it even while it is holding the TV. Highly recommended.

I may not be happy if I had a 55" TV but like I ...
Product is overkill for my 32" TV but it leaves room to grow. After sorting out where to hang this, it took less then 30 min to get hung and watch TV. The clearance for the TV is spectacular because of the location I had to mount, I have to pull arms all the way out to angle the TV so it can be seen from any point in the room. I may not be happy if I had a 55" TV but like I said - this is overkill for my 32". I mounted it high (63" to bottom of TV) and it is set to the max down angle (which isn't much) but it easily viewable. When fully pushed to the wall, TV is doesn't stick any further then if were on a table with its legs on. Only 2 little down sides which won't keep me from giving it a 5 star rating. I always mount in a stud and the spacing of the holes would not allow that. There are a few ways around that, no big deal, but I mounted only the 3 center holes since my TV is so light. I probably could get away with 2 but I like overkill. The other is that the provided screws were too long. I barely got them tight with the provided washers. I would have put another washer in if needed though. I wish they included spacers for this type scenario but this product is well worth the price for my size TV and I believe would work well for larger TV's. Buy it, buy it, buy it. Even if I had to replace the screws or grind them to fit the TV plate better, I would have smiled the whole time. I will buy this again for other TV's if needed.

Great product, impressive quality, amazing value
Great product, impressive quality, amazing value. I originally bought a fixed-position mount but my wife suggested we get something that can move around for a better viewing angle. Glad we did, she was definitely right, this one time.Install was easy, the detachable plate that goes onto the TV lined up perfectly with my 200x200 mount holes (TCL Roku 49S403, awesome TV) so I didn't need any of the extension pieces. The portion of the mount that screws to the wall is 5" offset from the center of the TV when fully collapsed, and I wasn't lucky enough to have a stud at that location on my wall. So I cut an 18" piece of 1x6 that I had laying around and spanned the 2 studs on either side of where I needed to mount it. I then added a 2nd piece below that to fit under the lower portion of the mounting surface.Once that was done, I placed the TV on the mount "hook" (a big circle with a flange on it, smart design) and installed the 2 screws below that fix the position. Super easy.Hard to believe this thing costs under $20, the quality is far beyond my expectations. The plastic bezel piece that covers the mounting surface against the wall was either broken when I got it or I broke it taking it off, but I don't care. TV is either against the wall hiding that or angled toward the viewers that can't see it either. I threw the broken part away, it's still a 5+ star product.
