yes but the top is not overly secure so the top can be knocked off by a smart dog. I would look for a container that has more of a 'locking' type lid.

Q: How can I exchange for the larger one?

Contact Amazon Customer Service they will handle it all..It is usually easier to return and rebuy the one you need

no. top is not super secure. go to lowes and get a 5gallon bucket with lid.
