Very Good!
I have a few of these and they all continue to work well. I can count on them, which I can't do with some others I've tried. I've decided to keep the rope on one or 2 as then I can easily take them places in the house & hang them on something while I am in that location. I won't wear them as the magnet I have been told is not good close to the body. I have found the rope/hanging feature super helpful. Even so, if I don't want to hang it, the design makes it so I can easily lay it down on anything, no need to balance it as other types of timers would require. Another good feature. These have a very sturdy feel to them and I do not have to wind the dial all the way around to set time, which is handy. Also, if I want 15 minutes but change my mind to 12 or 17, the timer kicks in and times everything just fine, it can be moved forward/back and it ticks away as needed. This is not often found in other timers. I recently tried 2 of the Mechanical Kitchen Timer Loud Alarm and at first they felt great but then didn't work well consistently their failure rate grew within the month I had them. This timer on a rope I found works much better overall and I'm quite pleased with them. I must time so many things, I keep multiple timers for nearly constant use. This timer is the winner above all others I've used. They even withstand being dropped.

A steady timer for al sorts of uses.
Not only for cooking, but we bought 2 and keep one on the range hood. It is magnetized. We have owned a pair of these for many many years. We like them better than digital. Each pair we bought lasted for several years, and that's with constant use. We liked them so much, as I said, we bought again and again, exactly the same timers. Loud and extra long bell when the timer reaches zero. We've actually used the neck-rope for keeping it close at hand when doing something in one place and needing to be at another at a given time. I even use it as a warning when an online bid is due for an internet auction item. It works every time. Like old friends, it was hard to throw the old ones away when the new arrived, but they had become unreliable after a number of years. I did peel off the magnet circle on the back, easily done, and now use them as refrig magnets. There's a little life left in all of us, says this old-timer, to my old timing friends.

Life span = 2 months
It was fine while it lasted. I used it almost daily. The ringer is loud and long; a full ten seconds and it's set by turning the timer all the way to 60, then back to the time you want. It's very plain, no retro cuteness or anything, and bigger than you'd think for something you're supposed to hang around your neck. It made me feel like I was wearing one of those timers you see stuck on people in movies where they're wired with explosives (and must get saved or extricated before the time is up). Instead I took off the string and hooked a binder clip on the timer so I could just clip it to my belt loop when I wanted to walk around with it. It has a large magnet on the back so you can also stick it on the fridge. HOWEVER.... unbeknownst to me, the magnet came unglued from the timer while stuck to the fridge door and the timer fell but was bizarrely caught (before hitting the floor) by another magnet on the door because of the metal binder clip. I deduced all this from seeing the peculiar evidence after the fact. Then, two days later, the timer quit working. So effectively, there were two problems: The magnet came unglued (cheap workmanship) and the timer died after two months (REALLY cheap workmanship).

handy timer
I ordered this timer on a rope for my mother since she forgot to turn off the stove once and it trigger the alarm. This timer is easy to set, and she can carry it with her anywhere which is very convenient. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is I was wishing the rope could be a bit more comfortable. It works fine, but a softer and winder material would be a nice upgrade.

Just what I was wanting !!
I wear it around my neck and It keeps me on top of whatโs baking in the oven. Iโm not sure how precise it is but it works for me. I always set it a few minutes short on time and if I get distracted & something is on the stove or in the oven it will ring!!

Simple to use - just make sure to set it to 60 minutes before setting countdown time.
Wanted something for my wife to keep track of her cooking time while working. First time I tested it, when it got to 0, it let out the most imperceptible blip and I thought, got a stinker. Then I read the instructions on the back of the box and it stated, crank it all the way to 60 minutes, then bring it back to desired time - that time it rang out very audibly. That all I wanted - something simple to set and rarely would she be worried about tracking time over 60 minutes, and even if she did - well, that's what we went to primary school for. Just didn't want something that required multiple key presses to get set up. If you need something more than this, or something more accurate, there's a lot of them out there.

Good stuff.
After three years of seasonal use (to remember to move water hoses), so far, so good.
