Gorgeous but weak
First the unit is very well built, high quality. The APP is good and useful.Unfortunately I waited too long to start using it and couldn’t return it.It’s pretty noisy, but you do get used to it and blends in the background (wouldn’t have it in the bedroom at night).I have tried two different scents, you have to be standing right next to it and actively trying to smell it.

This is the best air freshener I've ever experienced
We have an "open plan" house where over 1000 square feet is shared by our living room, dining room, kitchen and family room. We've tried plug-in air fresheners and candles to freshen the air in our house. This is the first air freshener that truly works. I have it set on 4, which is on the lower end of the scale, and it provides a great scent to the entire area. It is certainly not cheap. The unit costs over $150 and each refill costs $50, but it truly does the trick. Our entire first floor smells great!

Wifi werkt niet
Via de app de wifi connecten lukt niet. Hij ziet het device niet in de app. In mijn wifi instellingen zie hij de aera wel.

this thing is LIFE changing!!!
I never typically leave reviews, but this product is so good that I just had to. My friend recommended Aera as the “elite” version of any at home air freshener, and she wasn’t kidding! My home already has a drastic difference to the smell, and it’s only been three days! I can already tell its going to make a huge impact to the pet odor in our house. The smell is lovely (I purchased forest therapy!), and I’m already excited to try all their different scents - but each capsule is so long lasting. I will be purchasing for many family members during the holidays!

Wifi connection not working
Impossible to connect to the app. Wifi not working. Useless piece of very expensive and noisy kit! Scent doesn't last as soon as you turn diffuser off. Do not recommend

So far, not the best experience
Update: Aera did send me a new diffuser, but the same problems exist. The most current new cartridge I bought did not load into the diffuser and the chat help told me they were a new design and that my rather new diffuser might not recognize the new design.. After telling me they would send me a direct contact to speak with, (that was actually just a central email address only) I found they didn’t respond to my follow up to return the cartridge. Since I bought the cartridge on Amazon, I just started return process here annd hope it will be accepted. Overall,, this diffuser system is not worth all the problems it has. Poor design, ineffective app and less than great customer service. I sincerely don’t recommend its purchase.I actually liked the Aera device while it worked. I had it set up at the entry of my house to offer up a clean scent when people entered. And while it really did not extend that scent into the house, it served the purpose of adding scent to the entry way. I had it set up to go on for a few hours in the morning and then again in the evening. Using the app was less than satisfying - it fell offline quite a few times and I was not quite sure if the sensor was correct in telling me how much of the cartridge was left. I ordered some newer scent cartridges and after I changed out the still usable existing cartridge, the unit stopped working. The button that lowers and lifts the cartridge in and out stopped working as well. So now I have two full cartridges of new fragrance that I cannot use and the old one that has some fragrance left in it. I reached out to Area customer service - their phone tells you to leave a message as all agents are busy. Instead of a call back, I get an email saying sorry they missed me and message them back. So far, even after that message, I have heard nothing. So I am very disappointed overall in their product and their service. My advice, not worth the price or hassle - there are other diffusers that work better and last a lot longer.
