An informative and well analyzed book
It gives us an insight on the last ten years of the government and it's decisions which have affected the whole of India. Aakar Patel puts his point across with relevant documents.

A book much needed to know where India is and how we reached here
It is a must read book especially in the times like these as the mainstream media be it newspapers or news channels do not show the real state of affairs in India to the educated public. Many important issues have been picked up in the book since 2014 that has been suppressed by media. But why media is suppressing the true state of India, be it in economics or political affairs? The book explores the reason for a loop sided Godi media that has come up today. Its has facts which are obvious but arranged in such a logical and reasonable manner that it leads to irrefutable conclusion of semi blind media and how media works as attention shifters from important national news to irrelevant and banal stuffs. The book is backed by solid facts and whether you belong to any political party or ideology Its a must read book to catch up with the the real news and facts of India which are conveniently not talked about even by the opposition parties.I implore every Indian to read to know where our nation is going and even though we may not stop it individually, but atleast we know how and why we have come to a situation like this where inflation is at its highest and no one asks the question of liberty and freedom rights of the citizens.

Modi’s style of Governance
A well written book with vast amount of data collated from disparate sources. I completely agree that Hindutava has nothing to offer to the country except destruction.

A MUST READ FOR EVERY CONCERNED INDIAN
Brilliant job done Mr Patel ! Finally the facts are out. I salute you for putting it together and going over every aspect of Modi's atrocious governance. I wish every single Indian could read this. I wish every Indian could see through his theatrical and understand that it’s a death of democracy, transparency, and a ccountabilty in this country.

Eight Years in - the Data is out now
After 8 Modi years, there is enough data to appraise the Modi government's performance. This book looks at that data, analyses and presents it. Sadly, it is not a pretty picture. But given that the book's findings are all rooted in hard data and evidence, there is no way these findings can be denied either. The only problem would be how to get a Modi supporter to actually read this book, because they would simply choose not to. But ideal for the fence sitters, and for those critical of Modi as well to arm themselves with information and talking points so that they can hold their own when the need arises. At the end of the day, the common people care for the country, its performance and future; and not for the standing of one man. This is one of the most important books that you will (or will not, depending on what you are) read. Also - buy your copy before the government comes up with some kind of insidious way of ensuring it goes out of circulation. In other words - BUY IT NOW!

The facts don't lie...and they're all out there
Meticulous analyses of data...and lack thereof. As someone who is politically aware, some of the information in here still came as a surprise. Read this as an exhaustive book about where we are and how to (not) to move ahead.

Revelations in the book are devastating - when will Opposition Leaders & Media notice?
Surprising and revealing insights into how Mr. Modi and his Government have worked and how their performance measures up - against whole lot of internationally recognised key performance indicators on economy, health, education, social empowerment & justice, freedom of expression, poverty, crime, gender or religious bias et al. A facts laden book with citations and references that show how far the reality is from the image built on propaganda and fudged data or manufactured news. Aakar Patel has to be commended for both his research and courage in writing the book - PRICE OF THE MODI YEARS.

Good read
Meticulously written with a detailed ensemble of facts. It’s consolidation of lot of events, information and actions of recent years. However would have been nice if the author also covered anything good that happened in these years. Else it ends up looking like a one-sided tirade and tends to appear personal at times. But all in all well written.

Price not justified.
The quality of the paper does not justify the price of $17.89 plus tax that I paid. It should not have been any more than $12. It is too early to comment on the substance of the book.
