Great for getting heat quicker
I live in upstate NY on the Canadian border, and it gets pretty chilly. On my Subaru Forester, I had a block heater installed, which works great, but was expensive to have installed. My wife also wanted a block heater on her Nissan Senta, but the local dealer said they couldn't order the part, and even if I somehow got it, it was very difficult and expensive to install. The dealer recommended one of these type of heaters. I looked online at lower radiator hoses until I found the diameter (1.3"), so this was the closest size.Install was straight forward. The hardest part was removing the lower splash shield. I drained the radiator, then cut the hose. A pair of tin snips worked way better than a knife, and it was easier to work from the top instead of being under the car. Secured the clamps, ran the wire through lower bumper (slots in grill were too small), and secured it with zip ties. I then refilled the radiator, reusing the coolant and filtering it through some cotton cloth. I ran the engine for awhile to cycle the coolant, but it was cold enough I couldn't get the lower hose to fill up. I had her drive the car for a couple days before plugging it in. Total project time was 2 hours, probably 40 minutes less if there's no splash shield in the way. When it was first plugged in, it started smoking a bit, probably just some gunk burning off. The entire housing gets really hot quickly, so don't touch it. The heater is on a timer, set 3 hours before she leaves. I also got a long orange extension cord, which she puts under a wiper blade to make sure she unplugs it before driving. It was used the other morning, 3 degrees F outside, she had heat within 2 minutes, it usually takes about 5+.

Heater works. Check thermostat location
Fits good works good and gets pretty hot. Before buying make sure that the thermostat is on your top rad hose. I installed it on a 2005 Honda accord and my thermostat is on the bottom hose so it doesn’t flow into the block like it should. Not the heaters fault my fault for not checking thermostat location

Not for Kioti CS Series
I was told that this unit would work on the Kioti CS series tractor. It WILL NOT! The lower radiator hose does not have a straight section long enough to make this heater fit.BUT...when I tested the heater before starting to install it, the unit heated up nicely.
