This did not fit my 2012 F150 5.0 V8 (needed the 1.5”) but I bought the same item in 1.5” at a local car parts store. Installing was relatively easy providing you have some mechanical knowledge. I highly recommend installing the wire first prior to connecting to the hose as it is very tough connecting it to the heater because of the rubber seal.It’s been 35°-38° Here in Las Vegas since install and I had the timer set at 3AM (on for 2.5 hours) and I used an infrared thermometer and it showed 155° on the hose temperature close to the heater. I turned on the truck for 10mins prior to driving off to work and the temperature is at optimum when I get in the truck. Before installing the heater, I’ll start the truck and idling for 20 mins and that barely moves the needle when I get in and leave for work. Then it takes 2 miles of driving for the engine to go up to optimum temp (180°-210°).One small thing I noticed was, whomever cleaned up the body with a grinder did a bit much. Anyway, this is a good investment for the price, but my greatest concern is, how long until this thing stops working.

I bought it to replace the in-line radiator hose heater on my tractor. It works flawlessly with no hiccups.
