I find the buckle hard to work with
It does what it is intended for BUT the strap buckle is very small. It holds ok but is hard to work with. I probably would not buy this item again.

Mini Golden Doodle
I’m writing this review because I have a mini-golden doodle who is six months and 20lbs right now. I couldn’t figure out the sizing after I measured the snout + read every single review (didn’t seem anyone else wrote about mini golden doodles) with them being a popular dog I’m here to say a size 1 is TOO SMALL for their snout. GOING TO TRY A SIZE 2

Fantastic training tool with room for improvement
I love these basket muzzles. I find them difficult to find at times online, so I try to stock up on them since my dog training clients can never find them in the stores locally when they're dog needs them.Basket muzzles are the only type of muzzle I prefer because it teaches your dog to control his own mouth. The cloth kind keeps their mouth shut so they are never learning their own bite inhibition. Basket muzzles also allow a dog to bark, pant (vitally important for extended wear), drink, & eat (though this takes practice with a large bowl of kibble). Basket muzzles are also superior to cloth because they cover the tip of the dog's muzzle, so the dog can't even nip anyone. This also makes them ideal for helping with other issues like coprophagia. The drawback to this muzzle in addition to its scarcity, is the lack of strap from the top of the nose to the back head strap. To buy one with this strap already on the muzzle the cost becomes exorbitant. With my personal APBT, who is quite dog aggressive, about 10 years ago I found these and started using them on him when I needed him to make friends with a particular dog so everyone remained safe and the people could remain calm. He had a level of training I didn't quite appreciate at the time so when I put the muzzle on him and he pawed at it, I told him once or twice to leave it alone and that was the end of his attempts to remove it. Now that I'm going to in-home lessons with untrained dogs, I realized pretty quickly that my dog is exceptional in his tolerance of equipment I use with him. Most dogs will immediately try to pull this off their face with their claws, and if you cannot tell your dog to stop with immediate compliance, your dog will succeed in pulling this muzzle off the top of his nose so that it just dangles around his neck like a necklace. As a cheap fix for that with my clients (I don't wish to carry super expensive muzzles as they generally are just temporary tools), I decided to buy a spool of twine for $2 and just cut a small bit of it to tie to the top of the nose band and the head strap at the base of the skull. Then the dog can be allowed to give his best shot at removing the muzzle and once he fails, will fairly quickly submit to the notion it must be worn and he will leave it alone. If not for me needing more than I can find sometimes and the twine fix I have to use, I would rate this piece of equipment five stars.

Good fit, but cheaply made and not secure.
I bought this muzzle rather than one of the more expensive muzzles of higher quality (that I happen to know work well and are comfortable because I have four of them for our pitbull/great Dane/rottweiler mixes) only because those were too wide and short for our 3 year old Belgian Malinois/Czech shepherd's longer, narrower muzzle. I admit that I did not have high expectations for this muzzle because just looking at the photo of the German shepherd dog wearing it made me think it would be too easy to remove. Turns out I was right. The lack of an over-the-head strap makes this vulnerable to being pulled down off the face by a paw if the dog is resistant to having it on his face. Our pup is fairly calm and took to it pretty well, but whenever he got excited, his paw went straight for the tip of the muzzle and off it came, to dangle at his throat. In addition, the muzzle has a very cheap, stamped out feel. With care, it probably won't break anytime soon but it feels flimsy enough that it could be cut through with scissors or snapped in half if bent too far. It has somewhat sharp edges on the individual "bars" of the basket portion where it came out of the mold as well. I had to sand down a few spots that I thought might cause irritation. I also added a strap at the top to go over the head so it would stay on. Since we rarely need to use it on him, we can live with it, but if he needed to wear for long periods, I would probably try to find a better made product. With all that I have said is wrong with it you may wonder why I gave it 3 stars. Well, in fairness, I have to say that it fits his face better than any other muzzle--including the expensive ones--I have tried. Other muzzles tend to be high on the bridge of the nose and can even somewhat obscure the dog's vision. Most also tend to be short and wide--which is fine for dogs with short, wide muzzles, but not all dogs have that shape face. This muzzle offers plenty of length for a comfortable fit, without being so big everywhere else that it weighs the face down, and the shorter upper portion of the basket does not push up over the eyes. In fact, if this muzzle had a forehead strap and was built a bit more sturdily (with rounded bars on the basket instead of flat, stamped out ones) it would be perfect. Too bad they went to such pains to create a good fit, then stamped it out of cheap plastic!

Finally after the third try it fits
Finally after the third try it fits. It fits great and for a dog who hates a muzzle he willingly puts this one on. It is super soft but the front that guards the mouth is hard. My dog doesn’t like company and he has been trained in handler protection, so I really would recommend a more firm muzzle for working dogs ie.. (schutzhund, bite and protection). They can still drink and bark if you fit your dog with right muzzle. My boy shows a size five and using the Baskerville size chart said a 7 both sizes were wrong he actually wears a size 6 in this muzzle it is mainly for vet visits and company which doesn’t happen often. Very cheap price and happy with the quality. Not available to feed with that muzzle on however small treats can be put it to get the dogs to go in for the treat and become more comfortable doing so.

Inferior quality
Previously purchased Baskerville muzzles and they are built sturdier and they fit better. I also found the strap in this brand too long.

chewable, comfortable, stylish
It works so well although it is kind of big for my 4-month-old collie. I made a knot and she can go with it. It avoids her from eating dirty stuff outside. Also, the colour is unique and stylish for a little lady. Recommend 100%.

Dog ate it
Fitted well, but she managed to get it off , then she ate it 🤣

Wrong sizes in packages
Ordered 2 size 2 muzzles. Both packages say size 2. One is a size 1 and the other probably a 4. The straps and fasten clips are flimsy and difficult to use. The product would work great if you have a dog that wants to eat everything it can get in its mouth as I do because of the solid front. It would also be better if you had adjusters on each side of the straps. Overall a great product design but needs some tweaking to improve it.
