Very heavy duty construction. Plenty of room for lots of big flies without squishing them. You can keep a couple of these in your vest and be certain you will have room for all you might need. Excellent fly box.

great way to carry a full assortment: streamers, dries, nymphs from the big to the small and keep them all organized. Load your box for the day and you should have everything you need.....if you know what to pick and how to fish them.

Great box and fits nicely in my Vedavoo backpack pouch. Allows me to carry a wide assortment of flies. This is my second box from Cliff. The first one has been in heavy use for a couple of years and still going strong. A high quality product. I highly recommend this product!

Favorite fly box. Have had one for a few years now. Littarly holds all the flies for a day to a week of flies.

I've been looking for a solid box to mount in a pack. The double sided ones with multiple lids (Sci Anglers and Umpqua EVo) just don't cut it. They don't handle the large bugs and small ones together or just don't handle the bulk of the flies I want. Plus I HATE the double lids on some of those...hard to open and I already don't have enough hands on the water. I want one box to have everything I need for a day or two. I'll keep a stock box with me in my backpack but this box needs to hold everything else incase I loose some key flies.Now with that said, this has the best design so far. The lid opens easily enough and the space in it truly allows for me to put all of my small nymphs and midgets in the lightly magnetic compartments in the bottom (love it) and also hold the big boys in the nice slit foam (there is plenty of head room) on the leaf. I have zero issues with the leaf.Now, one of the things I love about Wheatley style compartment boxes is that they preserve my hackles. I love this and need my flies to float high. However I don't like the compartments and how flies will literally get launched out of them or how its hard to dig through some.So, now the part of this box that holds your dries is strips of decent blue foam. The spacing is great and on the ends there is extra head room for large/longer bugs. Everything fits nicely in here as can be expected.The only real issue with this box is that these foam strips are NOT the fancy new slit foam. So you have to poke it in and hope it holds (which it does except for small small stuff). The REAL problem is that your hackles get crushed on the under side. This is where slit foam designs like C&F, SciAnglers, Umpque do a great job. They took the issue with foam, poking stuff in and it breaking down or making big holes AND the crushing of hackles, and fixed it. Problem solved (its a big problem too). Why the heck does this box not have this???? No clue. I love the box and its still better than the rest I have tried but this is a glaring, missing feature. BTW, their nice slit foam IS on the leaf for the big stuff. Again, this is still my go-to box and better than the expensive C&F boxes too because its transparent and has a very unique, innovative configuration. I think I'll get get a C&F slit foam, some 3M spay adhesive and just swap out the bottom blue foam for the dries with the slit foam. That will make this perfect.So all in all...4 out of 5 stars. Nice box. OH btw, if you can't figure out how to remove the sticker from the lid then...well you have bigger problems.
