5 Qt Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl

This stainless steel mixing bowl is exactly what I was looking for. I have a 13qt stainless steel mixing bowl that I had been using for preparing homemade organic/gluten free breakfast sausage. To give you an idea of the amount in the recipe: 3-1/2 lbs ground meat, 16 lbs apples diced, about 24 oz bread crumbs, about 16 oz of my own dry spice mixture and about a cup of avocado oil. I was struggling to get it properly mixed in the 13qt bowl because it filled it right to the top. This 20qt version is just what I needed - you can see that there is sufficient space to mix everything without it falling out over the edge. The stainless steel is excellent quality and it's not too heavy when empty. It is huge and one must be creative when finding storage. I showed photo in dishwasher just to show that it fits; although I did wash by hand. Notice the sticker is on the bottom and not inside the bowl. Highly recommended for big batch processing!!

Wow...... this thing is gargantuan 😲. If people are winning about it ignore them... they’re probably having a bad day. I’ll probably have to store this under my bed it’s so freaking big! The one picture is with my almost 6 year old. I wanted a big bowl to rise bread dough in because I do 4 loaves at a time. This will definitely fit any amount of dough that I’ll need! Very happy with with this purchase! 🤗. Update several years later 🤣: so my opinion now on them is they're a bit thin but for the price I think they're good quality. I have 2, 20 qt and 16 qt bowls from this same company because I wanted to make sure they were similar in shape so I could stack them easily. Honestly I prefer the 16 qt because it's still very large and can probably fit 2 home grown chickens (so large chickens) in it. Although I can fit the 16 qt in my sink whereas I can't the 20 qt. Hope that helps! I like giving these as wedding gifts because it's unique and there's always a need for a huge bowl at some point!

Great bowl. Comfortable to use and hold, easy to wash. For bread makers, a shower cap fits nicely over it in place of plastic wrap. My only complaint is the bottom flexes sometimes when I'm mixing vigorously by hand, which speaks to its material being on the thinner side. However, that does mean it's lightweight and inexpensive. For the price and ease of use and cleaning, I still give it 5 stars and would buy again.

I ordered this mixing bowl mainly because I have a bowl addiction. Anytime I come across a nice bowl, I have to add it to my collection. This bowl was priced right at less than $3. I liked the size, however, was slightly disappointed it was very shallow, so I will not be able to actually use it as a mixing bowl more than likely. I think it reminds me more of a dough bowl. Still a decent bowl for the price, the stainless is very thin, so Im thinking it could damage easily. I'll update my review once I get the chance to use this more.

This is a very large, heavy duty stainless steel mixing bowl often advertised on sites for Restaurant and bakery supplies. The steel seems to be of uniform thickness; it is not like some of the cheaper products which use thinner steel on the bottom. Dimensions: 5 inches deep, 18 inches outside diameter at top with a 3/4 inch rim, and constructed out of 0.45 mm thick stainless steel. Before purchasing this bowl, determine where you intend to store it. It is too wide to store in the usual over the counter cabinet or even under the counter in a single door opening. It does fit nicely under a counter in a double wide space. It was primarily the storage considerations that convinced me to buy this bowl rather than the larger 30 quart size. I use this bowl to mix coffee beans which I buy in five pound bags. I've never found a fully satisfying single bean blend, so I normally buy two different single bean coffees and make my own blend. This bowl is perfect for that purpose; all of my other bowls are much too small. Highly recommended to those who really need a larger than average mixing bowl and have a place to store it.

The 3 Qt bowls are marked as "3 Qt" but it only holds a little over 2 quarts. That's almost 4 full cups short of the advertised size. The bowls look and feel sturdy enough for general use which is why I rated higher than 1 star, but I needed a 3 quart bowl, not 2 quart. This makes me wonder how accurate the other sizes are. ------ UPDATE: I started the return process, but the instructions from the seller (MVTRADINGONLINE) states they will charge me for return shipping. I contacted Amazon who contacted the seller asking for a full refund. The seller wanted to know what was wrong with the bowls. When I explained that they were smaller than described, I was told by the seller that their description was accurate because they labeled the bowls as "Standard". There were some additional back and forth interactions, but the seller was adamant that "Standard" means "smaller than advertised" and that I need to search for "True" size bowls if I wanted the actual size listed in the description (which I did, but there isn't any bowl I could find labeled that way). In the end, the seller said they would issue a full refund, but they did not address my question of the return shipping. Based on the vagueness of their item descriptions and their emails, I don't have full confidence in receiving a full refund. They may do that, but my trust in them is very low right now. The sellers are very quick to respond so I will keep my star where it is. I am just not happy with the vagueness of the item descriptions and content of our discussion.
