I'd ordered this product before and was happy. This time, the product that was delivered shows M25 (see picture). I'd ordered "blond" which is typically labled with M10/15, not M25 which is "medium brown". To me this signals poor quality control. Had I not looked, I'd have colored my beard ridiculously - all of the Just For Men colors run a little dark.

Looks good in their picture but turned out looking like dirt. Can't be returned and that is wrong. False advertisement on the part of JFM.

I've been using this product since 2008 and here's my real world experience: For years this was about $7.50 to $8 per package. Now it's nearly doubled. There's quality control issues at the factory (which I expect are intentional). The package contains two tubes and you mix the products within to activate the dye. Invariably one tube has more product inside than the other, and often there are air bubbles inside the tube, so by the time you get done mixing, you may have more of one and less of the other or it's gone. (Translation, you will be lucky to get one week [two applications] out of each set of tubes.) The color doesn't last even a week. (It does on the hair on your head, but not on your beard, and I don't have a particularly coarse beard.) I have to apply it twice a week. And on the days I trim my beard I have to do two applications back to back that same day to color my beard. (That translates at today's price of about $12 per box to about $12 a week. This is ridiculous. They should be sending larger tubes with more product in the box if this is the case. Since using since 2008, it's been clear they've changed the formula a number of times, but I've never had an allergic reaction. The most I can report is it's occasionally itchy for a day or day and a half after application. Some review on here said to go a shade lighter than you think you need. That's generally very true. In the case of the lightest blond/brown shade, though, that one matches my hair perfectly, but I use one shade darker in this case, since the lightest is noticeably less long lasting than the next shade darker. While that one may make my beard a little too dark, I've learned to apply it on a Sunday night and it's pretty much natural after a morning's shower. Some tips on applying: 1. Start at 5 minutes like the instructions say. If that's not working or long lasting enough, try 6 minutes the next time. 2. When you rinse it off use a color safe shampoo and use water that's not hot, only mildly warm (heat speeds up reactions and may help to remove the pigment you just applied that's sitting on the surface of your beard). 3. When you rinse it off, try to use a shower setting that doesn't apply a lot of pressure. Same reason. You'll mechanically be separating the pigment from the surface of the hair. (This doesn't so much dye the hair through, but more covers it with a a translucent pigment, which is why it looks more natural.) In short, rinse gently and with only mildly warm water, not hot. 4. If you find you leave it on too long so your skin is slightly discolored above the beard line, take a cotton ball rubbed with alcohol and rub it along your skin (not your beard). This will help to stop the dye from being long lasting. And when you trim your beard, remember, you will likely need to do this twice, complete with shower in between. Overall, this product used to be better and applying would last about a week. Now you will need to do it twice a week. I expect this is because the formula has been lightened up to avoid or lessen reactions in more people. But for what it is it's a (now) very expensive product that is mediocre at best at doing what it claims to do. I'll happily go fully gray, but in the meantime I use this to avoid that mixed "skunk" look, and since my hair is light brown/blondish, it's worked well and convincingly, but it's a pain to have to apply twice a week and also twice in a row right after beard trimming (I like to keep it short). I can't imagine what this would cost to use on a longer beard, but I expect that would be way too much work (and expense) to bother.
