Any reason this could not be used to connect a camera hdmi over wifi to a laptop running obs?

It would likely work, but as other reviews have said the instructions and interface are mostly in Chinese. the user interface is so poorly written it makes configuration next to impossible even if you can speak fluent Chinese. If you are faily skilled in the area of tech you could probably get it to work after wrestling with it for a long while.

I have had mine for just over one month. now when i connect my transmitter continually loses connection. this happens every 2-3 min. fix?

I had to use a USB power supply (that was not supplied) for it to work . The HDMI input did not supply sufficient power.
