“Made in USA with globally sourced components”
Have tried these from various brands at various price points with varying results. Even the same brands seem inconsistent. Sometimes they work great, sometimes they are garbage. In this case we have a mid-priced option that seems high quality. Replaced after old filter started tasting chlorine-funky after six months. This one went in easy and made the water taste great with no loose particles or weird issues. Problem solved. Buying another. The Culligan brand still seems to mean “water that does not suck.”

Works good.
We have been using these for a few years now. No complaints. The water tastes much better than our of the tap, and these are more affordable vs the GE filters.

Quality alternative
This product has the same or similar specs to the refrigerator manufacturer’s product at 30% less cost. And yes there are cheaper filters that remove chlorine taste but do not filter the contaminants.

Easy peasy - water tastes clean
Works great. No instructions were included but it was super easy to install without. I used a gallon container to make sure the filter was properly prepped and cleared before drinking. It took about one and a half gallons til it was fully clear and ready for drinking. My water tastes great, actually it tastes better now than with the cheaper filter I was using before, and it works perfect in my fridge. Will order again.

Doesn't lower EC TDS ppm using a standard water tester!
I purchased this filter and an EC total disolved solids parts per million (ppm) water tester. to test the resulting water quality. The Culligan CUGMW filter does not reduce the EC PPM at all. There is no reduction! Here are my results:tap water: 390 ppm*** Culligan CUGMW: 394 ppm ***Sparkletts Spring Water: 90 ppmNU Aqua 6-stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System: 54 ppmBrita pitcher after NU Aqua: 37 ppmdistilled water: 0 ppmThe filters were tested after two weeks of use to avoid charcoal residue contaminating the results. It was easy to install.

Clean water from the fridge
Nice to have a higher quality filter for the fridge. Worth the extra cost to know that you’re getting better water
