this is a fantastic model. It is very easy to construct even ...
Simply put, this is a fantastic model. It is very easy to construct even though the instructions are in Japanese - just use some common sense and study the diagrams carefully. This does take time to construct so a nice afternoon would suffice. I would recommend getting a sharp X-ACTO knife and some model sprue cutters if you don't have any. These would be perfect: https://www.amazon.com/Xuron-2175ET-Professional-Sprue-Cutter/dp/B001TMZ7QA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1532355681&sr=8-3&keywords=model+sprue+cutter&dpID=31YZ4%252B4kBlL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch I wouldn't recommend this for kids below the age of 10 unless supervised with an adult. the parts themselves are very small and intricate - if unsupervised one may cut a connection point thinking it was an unneeded sprue - again study the diagrams carefully before cutting. I built this model with my 8yr old son and now we can't wait to tackle our Bandai Death trooper build. I didn't let him cut the sprues but he did all the assembling. The plastic mold itself is impeccable and everything fits together snuggly/tightly - no glue is required unless you accidentally break something during assembly. I didn't see any imperfections with each of the finely molded pieces, however I did have to sand down one of the white hand armor pieces to get it to fit flush. When properly completed, the model itself is very posable. He can do poses that probably aren't possible if someone were to wear this armor in real life. The trooper comes with a stand and three weapons - the standard E11 blaster, DLT-19 and the SE-14 pistol. Overall the sculpt is VERY GOOD and looks movie accurate - I have Black Series, Kotobukiya and SH Figuarts troopers to compare the Bandai against. This model does require decals but Bandai has given the us the option of waterslide OR sticker adhesive decals. I highly recommend this kit if you have the patience to build one - it is well worth the effort.

Amazing model kit
This model kit is nothing short of amazing. Easily on of the best General Grievous figures out there. This is the first model kit I have built, and it was fairly easy to assemble. It comes with a cape, stand, and 2 sets of arms (one set with 2 separate arms with light sabers, one set with closed arms and open palms). The model kit is very well articulated and very light, so you can get some crazy poses. The model kit is also taller than most 6 in figures, so it looks imposing next to other figures (as it should be since this is Grievous we’re talking about). I definitely recommend getting this model kit. It’s really fun to built and the figure is really solid. Definitely a 10/10.

GREAT QUALITY, GREAT ACCURACY, GREAT FIGURE!!
This model kit had many fragile pieces, but they added to the accuracy of the figure. While the price has gone up since a few years ago, the figure still looks amazing and is great quality. He is an incredibly posable figure, and I enjoyed painting some of the parts. Don't use the water decals or stickers, they come off easily- just paint the parts where you want. The cape is kind of tough, but that isn't something to be upset about at all. I really like that you can switch out his two arms for 4 arms. I recommend that you get this product if you want to be kept busy, like star wars, or just like figurines! The instructions were easier to understand than I thought, and there were only a few pretty tricky parts. I suggest you get this product with a gift card, or discount.

Excellent figure that requires time and effort to build.
This is an amazing product! Bandai outdid themselves in my own personal opinion. General Grievous is truly an intimidating individual and the company managed to capture that same feel of fear and terror evoked by the Jedi Hunter. For those who want to know the technical things, this figure took me (a first timer without the proper tools) 4 hours to build and roughly 1 more hour for the Lightsaber wielding parts. If you pay attention to the instructions and see the small points in the plastic where a little arrow points you where to cut, then you will be fine. No worries about chopping something off. The stickers were a bit of a pain to place. The watermarks ar even more difficult, so I just kept them. Initially I nearly destroyed a watermark as I thought that it was a sticker, so be careful as these 2 are packed in different bags. As for other observations, the cape is far more decent than what I expected. The cloth is very good for a 40$ figure, really. Of course you can make your own if you want, but this one is light. Although it kinda restricts movement and tends to fall off easily, so it is meant mostly for displays rather than use in movement. The General stands very well on his own. Although he might occasionally fall if not checked. I also had this small problem with his right arm where it might disassemble in the lower part due to me not sticking correctly initially, so hand movements from that section are restricted. Be sure to use great force and great care while building him. An amazing figure for it's price (I wish I hadn't have to pay it double due to customs lol), I recommend it. Everyone can have it. No need to discourage first timers like me.😜

Well done Bandai, Very well done!
This is an excellent representation of the Emperial Storm Trooper. Construction was straightforward. Even though the instructions are in Japanese the pictures make it very easy to assemble. Very pose able! The molding is impeccable and the surface representation of the armor is an excellent touch. The seam at the back of the helmet is the only thing I can say is an annoyance but it is not going to be seen usually, so its not a problem and if you know what your doing you can fix it. As far as the decals/stickers go I decided to try the stickers to see how they looked. The stickers are very thin making them sit down very cleanly. I did not use all of them however, choosing to paint the dots and small details, also I did not use the sticker that goes over the ear area of the helmet. I will be applying the water slide decal there and using decal solution to snug it down to the details, but may end up painting this detail if the decals do not work satisfactorily. I will be acquiring a few more of these figures for a diorama idea that will include Darth Vader. Very well done Bandai!!!

A fine addition to my collection.
This was my first model kit I ever bought and built. I mainly bought this because I thought he looked amazing in displays I’ve seen on YouTube. Instructions were pretty straightforward, although, I definitely recommend working at a desk or table and not on your floor because you could lose pieces to the rug. Onto the figure himself, he scales with other 1/12 or 6 inch Star Wars figures (MAFEX, S.H. Figuarts, and Black Series) and the size is more accurate when compared to other figures. When this model kit went back up in stock, I secured him for $50 at the time and he was definitely worth it in my opinion because of how detailed he looks. The value is insane compared to other Grievous figures. He can be fragile because this is a model kit, not an action figure, so if you get him into a good pose, don’t mess around with this too much.

This is the model kit I’ve been looking for!
I had a great time building this figure, it’s not a difficult kit and is great for fans. The likeness is spot on and the quality is very good. This kit requires little to no paint work and comes with 2 sets of decals/stickers for all the little details on the trooper. Overall I’m pleased with my final result. There were however, 2 pieces that gave me issues. The knee guard piece on the left of the figure snapped in half when I was attaching it on the figure, luckily it broke at the seams and model kit glue fixed the issue - be extra careful when attaching the piece. Another piece that broke was the shoulder strap piece which also broke at the seams and doesn’t look very noticeable. It is a delicate piece and I advise removing this piece from the plastic with an xacto knife or something sharp. I have attached photos of these pieces. Overall this was a great kit and can’t wait to acquire and build more!

Skill Building Kits
My son has been wanting a General Grievous figure that was more screen accurate. He has had the LEGO buildable version for some time and enjoys it but this rounds out his 2-figure collection quite nicely now. For a 13 year old on the spectrum (ASD) Bandai kits like these afford certain opportunities for skill building over time. For anyone, really. Build it as is, right out of the box (get some good snips at a minimum) and you'll be happy with the results. It helps that my son is detail oriented and responsive to ordered instructions. Over time, if you want to add paint or make other refinements, you can carefully disassemble some or all of the figure and get to customizing the look of the figure like painting the internal organs and eye details or sanding and/or filing seam lines and such. Great for fine motor skill development and building can almost be a meditative experience. Great activity for those non-screentime moments where outdoor time is not the best first option. My son is 13 and has been building this type of Bandai press-fit type model for a bit over a year.
