It's a great budget bed for cats and good for play time. But wish it has more padding on bed.
Let's start with the scratching post bed itself. I have to say the quality is outstanding. The materials used are really sturdy. Can handle the most enthusiastic scratchers. Soon as my cat saw it, they started kneading and scratching away happily. It's a way to keep their claws in shape while satisfying their natural urge to scratch. What makes this scratching post bed special is its dual function. Not does it provide a surface for scratching but it also doubles as a cozy resting spot, for your beloved cat. The cushion was soft but i feel as if it needs a little more fluff to be a great spot for a nap or lounging session. The size of this scratching post bed is another standout feature. It's the height for my cat to stretch out and scratch without any hassle.. The best part? It doesn't take up space in my home, which is definitely a big advantage for those of us, with limited floor space.Putting it together was a breeze too! The instructions were clear and easy to follow so within minutes I had everything set up and ready for my furry pal to enjoy. The durability of the design is truly remarkable as it remains firmly in position during scratching sessions. It's worth noting the design of this scratching post bed. It effortlessly complements my home decor with its colors and modern aesthetic. It doesn't look out of place. Brings a touch of sophistication to any room.

Fat Cat Approved!!! Missing a part though :/
If I could give this a 4.5/5 stars I definitely would. This was easy to assemble, the only thing that was wrong is that it was missing the spring ball at the bottom, that’s the reason for the .5 deduction. I just adopted my cat and he weighs 15.5 lbs (on his weight loss journey) and he fits very well in the bed so it is fat cat approved. This is a great starter tower to see if your cat enjoys towers or not, which is what we did. He took a liking to it immediately especially the bed and scratching post, would definitely recommend to new cat owners or someone who wants a small tower for their kitty. ❤️

Who cuts the bolt holes in half between two boards?
Okay, so for some reason (I'm assuming to be able to use a smaller shipping box), the bottom of this is two pieces. While that wouldn't necessarily be a problem, they decided to put the bolt holes right in the middle between these two boards (so the bolt holes are cut in half). This makes the base very uneven and unstable. For the first several weeks the cats wouldn't get on the top part (and still sometimes won't if it shifts wrong) because of this. No cat wants their perch to move when they are lying or rolling around on it. They love the scratch pad at least and rather than batting at the pom, they just decided to rip it off (which is super easy to do). That said, the cats do seem to overall like using it and have mostly stopped scratching the rug/carpet in the house.

Hinged bottom is a terrible idea
The tower is nice it has some nice features. So far he hasn't tried the scratching pad area on the bottom. But he likes the bedUnfortunately someone on the design team had a really bad idea making the bottom hinged. It was very difficult to keep it open. It kept folding back up and fir some stupid reason, the bolts go right through that hinge area. I was unfortunate to have it fold on my finger and pinch it badly. I started bleeding, my finger was throbbing. I was ticked off.I see no reason that bottom piece can not be one solid piece. It should be less likely to break in half and the holes for the bolts would be strongerThat is my only complaint. So far, anyway. My daughter has the same tower. She didn't understand why the base was hinged either. Fortunately she didn't get pinched.

Purrrrrfect
My cats absolutely love this! It was easy to assemble, and they take turns sleeping in the bed on top, and they love it so much that they have almost destroyed the scratching post in the last couple of months. I’m gonna have to buy me a new post soon to replace the one that’s on here. Definitely recommend! They even use the flatbed on the bottom to scratch on. Love this!
