Q: Can it be applied to pontoon boat？

Yes, the positioning to obtain the proper height would probably be more difficult and you probably need one or two additional supports.

Q: The assembly of the product was very troublesome and the pole constantly collapsed。 The cap on the top broke after one use. Is there any solution?

I purchased the single set up and had no problem with it. The height was good with adjustment and it has been on for 5 Months and is working fine. I placed it in the middle of the boat and it is the Highest place. I set it up for winter storage and have it locked in. I cover the boat with a Heavy Duty Tarp for the winter. I store the boat outside and lash the cover onto the trailer using every tarp tie down with Heavy Duty Bungee cords. You must have worse weather than we do in East Tennessee.

Q: How big (length and 'diameter') is the tripod base when collapsed?

It’s not big at all probably 16 inches long it all collapses mine came with a bag. I put it underneath the seat we’re not used. They’re really very well-made and worked great on my pontoon boat. Had no problem putting them together. But it does still in the bag very well because it all breaks down into pieces.

Q: I want to know if the hat is easy to break, as shown in the pictures in the review?

I have never broken the plastic top piece but it could happen if over stressed, but I would expect the cover to rip first.
