Not delivering fast-charging in car. Increased battery charge by 11%/15mins from 45W car charger
This came very well presented in retail packaging and inside you get the Magnetic Charger, Car Vent Mount, USB-C to USB-C Cable and Instructions.I must say that this is a very cool locking charging, given you can see all the inner working of it. I think there was a missed opportunity to light it up to further enhance to look of it but that juts me. On the left-hand side is a small on/off switch. The supplied vent mount has a very stiff clamp and two feet that come out either side for added stability. It attached to the charger by way of a ball joint and a nut. Which you can adjust the tension on to get the angle you are after.Given the high price point of this charger, I was expecting a really good charging performance from it and wanted to give it the best opportunity to shine. So, I plugged the USB-C cable into a 45W PD 3.0 car charger lighter adapter - I had previously tested this on my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and it was putting out 4A wired. This way I can be sure that power going into the Momax charger is up-to-spec.I initially tried my daughters iPhone 12 Pro Max with two different cases on, one relatively thin, and neither worked. Unfortunately, I did not have a MagSafe one to hand to try with this. So, I decided to run the test with the case off. The phone was only getting 1.33A. This was somewhat disappointing, as anything equal to or above 2.4A is classed as fast charging and this was running significantly below that. I decided to run a 15min charge test with the phone starting at 7% and at the end of that it was at 18%. Based on that, after one hour, the phone would have received less than a 50% charge.Herein lies the problem with this charger. Most people are not going to have a lighter adapter like the one I used, which can pump out up to 45W, and I was still only getting 1.33A out the other end. When I get a result like the above, I always want to sense check everything is working fine. So, I plugged the cable directly into my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, which had a 22% charge, and it was getting about 5A from an in-home fast charger - the supplied cable was working extremely well.Another important thing to note is that this is a Qi magnetic charger, that may well be compatible with MagSafe but it does not carry the "MagSafe Compatible" logo. Hence why you often see compatible with MagSafe, rather than MageSafe compatible in the wording. This is not to say it is less efficient but then going by the results.....The other thing I could not find out about this charger, which maybe less important for a car one, than home, is how much energy is lost in the transference. The in-home ones tend to run around the 70-75% mark, meaning that 25-30% of the energy is lost but there are industry figures showing it could be as high as 40%.Overall, I cannot say I am that impressed with the charging performance, especially given the price (£49.99). It may look very stylish but if it is not delivering the power, then what is the point.

Handles the iPhone 13 Pro Max with ease
I gave this magnetic car charger a decent test with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and found it performed excellent.Firstly it looks great - the clear front means you can see all the gubbins of the charger. It's different to any other chargers I've seen before and stands out from the crowd. I've mounted it in my Volvo XC40 and think it looks awesome.Mounting wise it has a strong clip that attaches to the vent slats and a fold out leg on the bottom. The leg means the charger stays really secure and doesnt move around and the clip grips really well. I've had it over a month and it hasn't budged. It has 15w fast charging with a compatible power outlet. I don't use it to solely charge my phone but it's nice to be able to get in the car, attach it to the mount and have it charging in the background too.The iPhone 13 Pro Max is big and quite heavy but this mount is certainly up to the task. I use a magsafe case on my phone and it attaches strongly to the mount. Speed bumps, heavy braking, bouncy roads and sharp bends it doesn't matter what I've thrown at it the phone doesn't budge and the mount stays exactly where I positioned it. Fantastic.Excellent car mount from Momax with a cool cyber look and great performance.

very good magnets, looks cool, charges really well
I've got to admit this does look rather cool, but is it as good as it looks? the answer is a resounding yes.I've several MagSafe chargers dotted around my house and I've used various dashboard / air vent magnet mounts, and I've found all but one of them had OK magnets but nothing amazing (the exception was the amazon own branded dashboard mount, the magnets on that are excellent, although it's just a mount, not a charger). This has fantastic magnets, they really hold well, it takes a reasonable amount of force to pull the phone off, so I don't see the phone flying off when you hit a pot hole of an unseen speed bump, which is a common issue with car mounts. As I said it charges quickly too, I tested it indoors on a 30W USB-C adapter and the supplied cable and it charged every bit as fast as any of my other chargers so no problems there. Of course your speed will come down to how much juice the USB outputs in you car outputs. Also note this comes with a 1M USB-C to USB-C , which personally I prefer, although most cars only have a USB-A output as standard, but most of those only output 5V at 1A, so won't fast charge, but if you have a cigarette lighter adapter with USB-A or USB-C outputs that are fast charger certified, you'll be good to go.hope that helped
