Review after one year
I've been through a lot of gaming headsets over the years and after a year of using the H9s they are easily the best ones I have used. First off, as someone who mostly plays on Playstation they integrate perfectly. You get all of the UI features you'd expect from a first party product which immediately feels better than other third party brands. PC performance is good but not really noteworthy in any way, they sound great, they work fine. There is an app that you can use on windows but in my opinion it's useless. The default sound profile is much better than anything I could come up with on my own. Bluetooth is also really nice to have. You can listen to music or take calls while playing games easily One of the best things about it is just how comfortable they are. I've found most gaming headsets uncomfortable after extended use but I could wear the H9s all day without any discomfort other them getting a little warm in the summer. Of the dozen or so gaming headsets I've used, nothing else comes close to being as comfortable as the H9s. The default sound profile is pretty balanced. If you are a huge bass junkie something from Turtle Beach or logitech might be a better choice, but for me there is plenty of bass on the H9s. You can crank it up in the app but it just doesn't sound very good. Noise cancelling is also very solid. The easiest headphones I'd compare them to is the Sony XM4 or XM5. I think both the sound and noise cancelling is slightly better on ths headphones, but the H9s are very close to as good. Cons: the price is steep, but I think it's understandable when you look at comparable headphones. They run a bit large. I think a child would have trouble wearing them so keep that in mind The automatic turn off doesn't seem to recognize PS5 rest mode as being "turned off" meaning that if I forget to manually turn them off I'll often come back the next day to a mostly dead battery. Seems like a frustrating oversight on Sony's part. Expect to turn them off manually each time. If you are only using them on PC the auto turn off function seems fine. This is probably the biggest downside to them. Also, these go on sale regularly and it's not hard to find them for around half off either from a sale or refurb. I found mine for $140 and have friends that also got them for that cheap. Overall I'd highly recommend.

Pro's & Cons between Sony In Zone H9 Wireless Headset to the Sony Pulse 3D Wireless Headset
I'm currently using the Sony In Zone H9 Wireless Headset with my PlayStation 5 via USB dongle (2.4 Ghz) and paired up to my Android phone via (Bluetooth). I own two pairs of Pulse 3D wireless headsets (Black & White) both are still working in perfect condition to compare this written comparison review. I bought the H9's to see if my gaming experience would be better compared to the Pulse 3D headset. Here's the pros and cons for the H9's comparing it to the Pulse 3D wireless headset. Pros: • H9's are very comfortable. H9's don't squeeze your head as much as the Pulse 3D's. Very little difference between the two but slightly noticable comfort. • H9's feels lighter on my head. Both are pretty light weight headsets. Most likely this is from the bigger ear cups on the H9's. • Both are Glasses friendly headsets. • Both use USB-C to charge the headsets. • Both have easy volume controls on the left ear cup. H9's has a volume wheel for adjusting the overall sound which is more user friendly compared to the up and down separate volume buttons on the Pulse 3D headset. • Both are able to adjust the game volume and voice chat volume independently. (This is a huge pro for when playing online with friends.) H9's button's are on the right ear cup. Pulse 3D's are on the left. • Noise Cancelation on the H9's is the true seller for me. It's really good. By far the best feature to have on a gaming headset. Turning the Noise Cancelation On is as easy as pressing a single button on your left ear cup to adjust the level of noise around you. When I turn on the noise cancelation to max I can't even hear my window air-conditioner any more. Which was a distraction from my gaming experience. • Microphone quality sounds allot better as what my PSN friends say. • H9's are easier to rest around your neck because the ear cups fold in towards your chest. Pulse 3D's ear cups don't fold or move at all. • H9's are able to pair a Bluetooth device while gaming on the PlayStation 5. For example I can listen to music or answer phone calls from my Smartphone all while I can still hear the game and chat audio from the PlayStation 5. Tip: Best way if you're needing to focus on your phone call press and hold the mute button on your DualSense Controller to kill the voice chat and game chat audio from the PS5. • The Sound quality from the H9 headset has better Highs and Better Lows. I ran several tests with this headset both bass sound tests and vocal sound tests. Overall the sound quality of these internal speaker's in the H9's are a improvement compared to the Pulse 3D. Both headsets have really good sound for gaming. Cons: • The Price between the two is a $200 difference. Pulse 3D is $99 and the H9's are $299. • Can't mute the microphone with the DualSense Controller. (The Pulse 3D Wireless Headset also can't mute the microphone from the DualSense Controller unless you use the 3.5 mm headphone jack to the DualSense Controller. This is a minor complaint but logically it makes sense to use the most quickest way to mute yourself for thing's like coughing or sneezing. The DualSense Controller mute button is the quickest button that's near your hands while gaming. This is a major oversight for the PS5's firmware/hardware. Pro Tip: to mute yourself on the H9's you just flip up the boom microphone on the left ear cup until you hear a click or see the microphone is muted on the TV. With the Pulse 3D Wireless Headset you have to press the Mute button on the left ear cup. • If you're standing or sitting down and you bend over 45° and look straight downward to the floor the H9's slowly start to slide off your head. Pulse squeeze's your head slightly more so the headset doesn't slide off your head as fast. Nothing to be major concerned about because you typically look forward while play games. • H9's don't have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Pulse 3D headset does. • H9's don't currently have a EQ option to adjust on the PlayStation 5 compared to the Pulse 3D. Overall I'm impressed with the H9's. My only major complaint is the price and the lack of EQ settings on the PlayStation 5. Both issues could be resolved overtime. So if you're looking for a gaming headset and want good quality sound and the ability to cut out sounds around you while you're playing a video game I'd strongly recommend the H9's. If you're not wanting noise cancelation and are on a budget I'd recommend the Pulse 3D headset.

Good sound quality and comfortable
I use them on my PS5. They have good sound quality. Great directional 3D audio. The noise cancelling works well but I've heard better from cheaper headsets before, however, I find that I don't even need to use it as the cups block out quite a bit without the need to cut your battery life in half. Normal battery life is great and I love the easy on/off flip mic. People say I sound clear 9n the mic too. Also has built in dedicated buttons for changing the mix from game to chat and easy roller switch for adjusting the overall volume. I switched from the Playstation platinum to these as the headband on the platinum was VERY uncomfortable. These I can wear for hours with no issues at all. We'll see how long the padded headband holds up though, feels a little on the cheap side for the price point. By default the talk back function is on, so that means you hear yourself recorded on a slight delay in the headset. This can be turned off by hooking them up to a Windows pc and downloading the Sony software and they will remember this setting when connected to the Playstation in the future. I've only had them a couple of months but overall I'd say they are a very good headset but if they are totally worthy the money is still TBD over more time.

Great headphones, TERRIBLE build quality.
Here to write a similar review to the many you've likely seen here. These headphones are pretty great when it comes to noise cancelation and sound quality. The 3D audio when playing games like TLOU2 and R6 Siege is incredible, and playing next to an AC and a mini fridge, I got absolutely zero noise bleed into rhe cans, which are super comfy. The problem is, these headphones are WAY to delicate and cheaply made considering the price point. For the price you pay here, you can definitely buy something more premium and better constructed than these. The foam piece at the top of the headpiece has completely deteriorated, and there's no warranty or replacement possible as it's categorized as "usual wear and tear". It's just a shame. I wouldn't expect any headphones to last 10+ years, but I've had cheap hyper-x headphones with better build quality that I've beat to absolute crap, and never had this issue. And I take excellent care of my stuff. There are comparable headset out there, save your money and go buy some that will last you atleast a few years before needing some TLC.

Highly recommend reading this review to see if these are right for you!
Here’s the details: Pros: - The mesh on your the ears and on top is comfortable. I have a big head and they fit well. A happy medium between not too tight and not too loose. - Coming from cheap wired earbuds, the audio is awesome. There’s 2 settings to choose from: 3D Spatial Audio and Noise Cancellation. You also have the option to turn it off. - Easy to tell right from left. - Compared to other brands, they’re very light and not clunky. - InGame and Mic audio is adjustable. In cases where the games audio over powers hearing other players, it’s a nice feature to balance one over the other. - Aesthetically, look great. I got the black ones to match my controller. - There’s an editing program you can download on Sonys website for the Computer and Phone. For instance, being able to pump up the bass for heavier tones is a cool addition. There’s a ton of other options, too. - Connects to PS5 and Apple products. - Sony’s Warranty is a year. - Comes with a USB-A to USB-C cord. It’s long, too! Cons: - They feel very fragile, so handle with care! Compared to other brands, these don’t feel too durable. I’ll need to pick up a stand or wall hanger for them. - You can’t mute the mic on your PS5 controller while the microphone is flipped down. This is one of those little things about it that bugged me. - Compared to Sonys other headphones, the other models look cooler. I would’ve picked up the In-Ears buds and the Pulse Headset just for the look. - I had to turn my microphone setting down all the way on my PS5. They’re very sensitive. With the default settings, if you listen to music loud, it’ll travel into your microphone. - One of the biggest letdowns is they do not have a Mac Client for their software, so you will need Windows! Also, the Sony Headphone iPhone app didn’t connect to mine. Not being able to pair with their native software really sucks. They do connect to these devices via Bluetooth, but if you don’t use their software, you’re missing out on a major feature. - I got mine for $178. Not sure I would pay full price for them, but they are one of the best gaming headphones out there. As a backstory, I bought the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 MAX a week earlier for $60 (Normally $110+) but ended up getting a full refund and warranty replacement on my TB’s because the audio was Dead on Arrival. While waiting, I saw these H9’s and it was an impulse buy because there was only one left for the deal in price. Now that I have both, I’ll keep the H9 as my designated Headset to the PS5.

A Headset Worth the Price
When I'm gaming I really don't like any distractions whatsoever. I've been searching for a headset that properly noise cancels but never found the right one. I decided to take a chance on these and see how they work out. Now my room is right next to our backyard, so if anyone is out there making even the tiniest grunt, I can hear it easily. The day this headset arrived our backyard was a particular mess full of overgrown vegetation and grass. I remember putting on this headset and gaming for about 2-3 hours straight. After my gaming session, I looked out my window to see our entire yard majestic looking and devoid of any of the overgrown vegetation I saw a few hours prior. But how??? If someone was out there doing yard work, no way I would have missed that. Well, thanks to this headset, I did! The noise canceling quality on them is incredible and I am finally free of any external noise no matter if it's yardwork, people talking loudly on their phones, or chaotic neighborhood parties. The audio quality is very good too and the headset feels extremely comfortable on my head. I could easily have this on for several hours without wanting to take it off. I know they're pricey but they're certainly worth every penny.

Very Good Headphones but poor quality
I got these about a year or so ago and they held up nice for the most part. The features are really nice, I loved being able to use both my phone for music and listen to the game audio at the same time without having to use a separate app or window. Noise Cancellation is very good maybe not on par with Sony's XM4 or 5 but up there. These are very nice headphones but the only downside is that after only a year they starting to fall apart. The material on the head padding started to fall off and in hopes of looking online to see if they repair or fix this issue or at the very least be able to purchase another piece or something (which still is a bit much for $300 headphones) I have yet to see anywhere and Sony has stated they do not repair this as it falls under normal wear and use. It appears to be held up with only glue and not very good one at that. I don't throw them around or anything either i take good care of my stuff and looking further into it it seems to be a problem occurring for most people too. I love these headphones and how seamless they work from PC to Ps5 or the bluetooth features but for the material to fall off only after just a year? I would say do not take the risk its very nice and all but there are other headphones that have similar features and don't have this issue.

Awesome
Bought from the warehouse deal and the only thing missing was the outer box. It was just in blue tooth mode so I just needed to switch it off!!

amazing headphones !!
the Sony inzone h9 headset are perfect! The h9's have a premium feel to them which is something the Sony pulse 3d headset lacked. The ear cups are extremely comfortable when gaming for hours. When noise cancellation is turned on, I can barely hear any background noise. Connecting to my laptop/phone is a breeze via bluetooth. The h9's are a bit pricey but in my opinion are definitely worth it. This is a premium headset.
