EZ Drivers are a great innovation. SKR 3 EZ is feature loaded and should be your next upgrade!
There is a lot to say about this board as I have been a BTT supporter for awhile with their SKR Mini e3 boards as well as their TFT screens. Since this was not as "plug and play" there were some learning curves, but nothing that was very difficult to figure out. Here are some of my highlights and lowlights from my experience with this boardPros:EZ Drivers:It's in the name. These are literally just plug in and they work. No more moving pins or plugging things in backwards. They go in one way and make driver installation completely fool proof. The TMC2209 drivers do allow for sensor less homing, but I chose not to enable that on this board and just use endstops and firmware limits for my bed size. They are completely silent so you don't have to worry about any noise coming from the printer which is as to be suspected with the TMC2209s. This board also has 5 independent drivers so you can run G34 Auto Align on your dual lead screws which is a gamechanger for leveling and accuracy.Fan Control:3 controllable fans on this board is a great option so you don't always have to have fans running when the printer is idle. All my fans are 24v so there was no need for me to utilize the different voltage but having that option is very welcome!Control Board:32-bit ARM Cortex-M7 board is almost overkill, but that's fine by me. For my needs, it will never have any issues and will process whatever, whenever I need it to.CONSFirmware:If you are not familiar with compiling your own firmware, you will not find precompiled versions for this board as readily available as you may think. I'm sure over time there will be plenty out there but if you are not comfortable creating your own firmware you may want to do a little research or be prepared to learn. This is not as plug and play as the SKR Mini E3 boards.Quality Control:I don't know where to put this one, but the first board I received was clearly a board that was returned by someone. There were no cables, no duck, and multiple drivers were loose in the box. At first, I thought that I had enough cables and ducks so it wasn't a big deal but after wiring the board up, it didn't work whatsoever. I triple checked the pinouts, did my diagnostics and got NOTHING. After going back and forth with customer service to no avail, I just returned it for a new board. The replacement worked perfectly wired the exact same way and it came with all the products I was expecting. Thankfully I bought this on Amazon and could return it. This was concerning since I bought this through BIGTREETECH's Amazon store but I guess they are sending out possibly returned product as new which is concerning.Overall, the board itself is GREAT and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get some additional features and possibly run Klipper, Sensorless Homing, or Dual Z Leads. I can overlook the initial product issue since it was taken care of, but I didn't like that returned product was being shipped for new orders. This needs to be resolved so the same thing doesn't happen in the future. I still am a BTT fan overall because the product speaks for itself at the end of the day!

I will never order another btt product again
All in all have 4 printers with this card in them when you receive a good card that the SD reader works they are great but getting a card that works is getting impossible the one from this order would not read a sd card, the replacement that was sent would not read a sd card. The quality control of this company is terrible a simple Google search will tell you this is a on going problem but the manufacturer has refused to address this problem. This will be the last skr board I ever purchase to get the 4 printers I have with them installed took at least 8 cards to find 4 that worked . Hopefully others will do the same and make the company take responsibility for their quality problemAnd the options they give you to rate stars on is warmth, sheerness and thickness now you tell me if they don't know that there are problems with their cards why not let us rate arrived operational, proper working order and overall quality of product

Manufacturer support web site is broken. I wasted several hours on a defective board.
I wanted this to work. I tried. I cloned their git repo and compiled firmware without making any changes. Firmware load appears successful because the status light blinks and the firmware file is renamed to "firmware.cur"That's the full extent of activity I could get out of this board. The USB connection doesn't show up at all on the USB host regardless of the USB/CAN switch setting. The TFT35 screen doesn't show anything. I wasted several hours trying to get this board to work.I tried to contact support. Opening a ticket requires that you provide an email, which I did. I never got any email from them. The support site has been broken for weeks. Others on web forums experienced the same thing.

Excellent kit for a power user
I'll get one thing out of the way right now: if you are NOT an advanced user with experience editing Arduino code (or similar), this is NOT the kit for you. It does not come with an up to date version of Marlin, so you're best served by downloading Marlin 2.x straight from Github and making the required configuration to the firmware yourself. A number of users have done this and posted instructions, so I will no go into details on that here. However, once you have the firmware configured and installed, this is an amazing board. The CPU is fast and produces very smooth and clean prints, there is ample memory for the most advanced Marlin configurations, and the TMC2209 drivers are extremely quiet. With this board, you can enable all of the advanced features such as sensorless homing, BLtouch/bed leveling sensors, power loss recovery (with accessory), linear advance, and many more. This is a board for an experienced 3d printer operator who isn't afraid of getting deep into the firmware to make changes. You will need to have a good understanding of Marlin to make this work well for you; copying someone else's configuration is not likely going to give you good results unless all of your parts and upgrades are exactly the same. It's absolutely worth the time-investment to learn; my prints have never been cleaner.

Great board !
This board is really very good and excellent quality.I received the version with the faster STM32H723 processor.Configuration for a Marlin 2.1 compile was a breeze, as easy as with and old MKS gen L board. The plug in EZ stepper drivers are another great feature. If you’re looking for an effective upgrade controller board this is a solid option.

They work but!!!!
While I like the concept of the ez drivers, there is certainly room for improvement. They worked fine so no issues there but the drivers are so hard to get into the adapters you almost need a hammer. And what is up with the heatsinks? Again Its a great concept but not very well executed. As mentioned in another review they wrap around the driver board and are held by a screw. But they make almost no contact . I use a couple of fans directed at the drivers so hopefully it wont be an issue but seriously BTT. Thats the best you could come up with ?

Feature rich and "just works"
This board is truly amazing. Any feature you can think of can be enabled in the Marlin firmware on this board and it just keeps chugging along! You get SIX motor outputs allowing dual Z axis lead screws as well as dual extruders at the same time! (Though do note that a dual Z setup still uses a single driver. If you want to use auto leveling using Marlin's G34 command you're going to have to sacrifice one of the extruder drivers and outputs and repurpose it for a dedicated second Z motor) There are also tons of fan outputs: I believe there are four in total, two of which are PWM enabled so you can control their speeds. The included TMC2209 drivers are also really useful, allowing sensorless homing and TMC diagnostics while printing. All of the outputs on the board are JST connectors instead of the typical DuPont style, so there's no need to worry that your connections are going to "falling out" after installation. One thing to note on this board is that the integrated MOSFETs for heating the hotend and the bed are only rated for 10A and I suspect this is one of the main reasons that some of the reviewers here have had their boards blown after a short time. I would strongly recommend using external MOSFET modules for these two critical areas, even if your bed only draws about 9A of current.I've also seen people complain online about an issue with the Z endstop pins, but I didn't face any issues when I installed mine. Everything just seemed to work.Unless I've been very fortunate, I've had no issues at all with this board and would love to get another one for my other printer. As long as you take your time and know what you're doing, you won't have any issues with these boards.
