Massively worth it despite the flaws
I want to say up front that this is a very biased review; I love this watch, and while it has its flaws, each of those flaws aren't dealbreakers to me. Here's what I find wrong with this watch:-The display viewing angle isn't as good as other watches I've had. It's difficult to see the display at a 45 degree angle so I have to tilt my wrist slightly to get a good view.-The bracelet is a hair-puller, more so than the band on my Casio A700, which was also a hair-puller but not that bad.-The light is very weak; it doesn't illuminate the entire display and it only really works in maximum darkness.-This silver-colored model only seems to be available on Amazon. Like, Armitron's own website doesn't even tell you that this watch exists in this color. I think Armitron's really dropping the ball when it comes to telling the world that this watch exists.Okay what do I like about it?-FORM FACTOR. This is basically a Casio B-640 but BETTER. It's one of the modern watches that does a vintage style better than a lot of actual vintage watches out there. A big reason for that is...-FULL METAL CASE. If Casio actually made metal case watches at a reasonable price that didn't suck (looking at you, A-1000) I wouldn't have found this beauty. I wanted to get a vintage Casio for the metal case, only to find that the affordable ones are pretty beaten up, and everything else was wildly out of my price range.-BUTTONS. I like having 4 of them, a lot. I'm still getting used to the button-press sequences to set the time 'n' whatnot; they're slightly difficult to press in but that also means my wrist isn't gonna accidentally press anything.Overall, I LOVE this watch; it looks stylish as all hell, has a nice weight to it given the steel build, and has the standard spread of features I'd expect a digital watch to have.I've been a lifelong Casio customer but I think I'll keep buying this watch every time it breaks because I want Casio to step it up.

Awesome retro watch!
This is possibly the best retro-style digital watch currently on the market in this price range. You have to beg on your knees for the other watch makers to release a steel body retro digital watch (most are chrome plated resin/plastic or brass), and when they do, the price is far higher than what this Armatron goes for. Armatron, on the other hand, offers us this all-steel watch, with better water resistance(30m vs 50m) than its competitors as well! The backlight is period-correct, and while weak and hardly impressive, it does its job when I wake up in the middle of the night and my eyes have adapted to darkness. The acryllic chrystal is also period-correct, and while it acumulates scratches faster than mineral or saphire, it is almost unbreakable, which adds to this watch’s utility as a sport-watch. Also, scratches in acryllic crystal is easy to polish out, and there is even products available for this.5 out of 5

Frustratingly close to awesome
I like this watch a lot, and think Armitron has done some things very well. The case is very nice. This is how you do a retro case; not resin - steel. It feels great. The buttons are also great; check the buttons on this watch vs some actual vintage watches of this era. If you look at this watch vs. a vintage Armitron, these look much more substantial. Even compared to a vintage Seiko, which were very nice at the time, these buttons look better. Design wise, you can see the inspiration. They were shooting for the first generations of this type of watch. How did they do?When this type of watch came on the market, the alarm was real novelty. To make sure the world knew your watch could beep, someone get the idea of making a "speaker panel" with slots cut in it, usually just above the crystal. Every manufacturer seemed to follow suit. I didn't know it at the time, but as near as I can tell, these were purely decorative. You can see in these pictures the vintage Seiko has horizontal 'speaker vents'; the vintage Armitron has vertical ones, but they made an effort to make them appear functional. The vintage Criterion just has a sort of sticker depicting a vertical grill, but it is a separate panel on the watch face, separated and above the crystal. This watch pays homage in an unusual (and to me disappointing) way by using horizontal stripes to evoke the grill, but everything is under the watch crystal. It would have been nice to have it split off and make the speaker panel have some tactile slots. The band to me is a weak spot. It isn't really period correct and damn is it uncomfortable if you have any hair on your arms. Doesn't look terrible, but I can't wait to swap t out.The display is nice and crisp. My 50+ year old eyes really would have preferred larger numbers, but this is period correct for the era.Functionally, there's not a ton to it, it has a watch and stopwatch, calendar with year. Alarm and hourly chime if you want it. No count down timer. The light is period correct and laughably useless.Overall i think Armitron has done a good job.

Unwearable
I quite literally just received this watch 15 minutes ago. It’s a great watch. All steel construction. Quality is good. The problem is the bracelet. I put it on and it instantly started pulling hair. Every little movement it’s pulling hairs. Taking it on and off pulling hairs. It’s unbearable. It is a torture device in my opinion. It’s truly unwearable for me. Armitrons other metal bands do not pull my hair at all and are very comfortable.

Buenos materiales, Buena Calidad, pero muy pequeño. lo regrese, recomendable si esta en oferta, a precio normal hay mejores opciones.

Great watch
Love casios, but wanted a one that’s stainless. This one is so classy. The backlight only really lights up the first digit, which at furst I thought was totally fine, but it is hard to read in the dark most of the time. At least there is a light i guess. Great watch.

Fast Delivery Good Quality
A bit more advanced than the F91w I normally use and very well made. The light isn’t any better though 😂 The strap is a tad shiny but for an all steel vintage style digital it’s unbeatable without going into higher price range Casios. It looks much better than the listing photos and the text on the screen is straight unlike in the main image.

Blast from the past
I’ve somehow gotten started on affordable digital watches and this retro styled Armitron does not disappoint at all.Size: Whilst smallish by today’s standards, i believe the piece sits just nice on my 17.5 cm wrist. Small enough to feel you have something old yet big enough so it doesn’t look like you’re still wearing your 1980’s school watchQuality: being a steel case, this watch actually has a bit of heft especially in comparison to the Timex T80. You really feel like it’s a new old stock piece. Both bracelet and case are very well made with crisp edges. Looks better than the photosDisplay Nice legible display, again comparing to my Timex T80 this is slightly better viewing angles and the text is crisper too. The only downside I see to this is the light. It’s an old school single bulb on the left and you really can’t see the time in the dark.Setup. Time was very easy to set and synchronize, even without the aid of a manual. After randomly pressing the buttons you’ll learn what each does.Sizing the clasp of the bracelet was also very effective and again easier to do than the Timex T80. Whilst it uses a similar clasp design. The Armitron clip required less effort.Overall I’d say this is a wonderful ‘dressier’ retro digital watch. It feels premium and well worth the price.

Armitron
The watch is more robust than a modern Casio a158w for example. The upper right button simply fell off on mine. I returned it and armitron shipped me another one within a day or two and it's perfect. Very happy with it
