Use in tubs to help prevent plants from drying out
Mix a few spoonfuls of this into the compost in a plant tub, and it absorbs and holds water so it stops the compost from drying out so quickly and plants have less chance of dying when I forget to water them

Definitely help with water retention in pots and planters. Don't use too much as they swell when they take in water and the soil with turn gloopy, but if used right they do help with keeping the soil moist during warmer weather and in between watering.

It really works
Each little grain holds an incredible amount of water and it really seems to help, particularly in hanging baskets and smaller pots that are heavy drinkers in the summer. Will definitely buy again
