Does the job!
This machine is great for at home shaved ice! It’s easy to use, there is no assembly and it does what it’s intended to do.It doesn’t make the powdery soft ice. But if I had to rate it 1-10 on ice fluffiness, I’d give it a 6.5

Works really well
Works well. It doesn't leak like people say. Yes a tiny bit of water run down but that's because soon as the ice hits the metal a tiny bit leaks. It's no big deal at all. Makes great snowball ice.

Soo glad I bought this!! High build quality, safe, and easy to use!
I started my journey looking for an appliance that could make really good snow for slushies but I started looking in the wrong place - blenders. This was a huge mistake because they can crush ice but they can't get it to that fine snow-like quality without melting it.This appliance is the PERFECT solution for making shaved ice for beverages!! The shaved ice comes out in the perfect consistency and the appliance is EASY and SAFE to use.As other have stated, use a block of ice instead of ice cubes for best results. You can make ice blocks many different ways just make sure the size of the ice block can fit completely inside the mouth of the shaver because this appliance has a safety feature that doesn't allow the device to start shaving until the lid is sufficiently closed. The way I make mine is by throwing 1.5 liter bottle waters in the freezer and use a knife to chop them in threes once they're frozen. I first score the plastic around the bottle, where I want to cut the ice, and then lightly chop the bottle (like an axe against a tree trunk) to safely and slowly crack the ice. This works perfectly because the sides of the water bottle hold the ice in place making the perfect crack. I then cut the knife through the crack to completely separate the bottle into perfect sized chunks. These can be stored in the freezer until they are ready to use. Remove the plastic and whalla! You have a perfect ice block ready for shaving! One last thing to mention is the build quality of this thing is incredible and feels industrial strength. I've had mine for 8 months and use it a couple times a month. It is super sturdy and feels like a device that will last for years.

Very nice ice shaver
We bought this ice machine to shave ice to eat and to make sno-cones. This little shaver worked really well at chopping up the ice into very fine pieces, just like a shaved ice sno-cone shop does. I really like this little guy as it doesn't take up too much counter space and is very easy to use. The reason for the four stars is because I felt they could do better engineering it. My main concerns:1) The height is too low to put anything but a very shallow bowl under it. It would have been nice to have flip down legs so you could shave the ice right into your cup instead of having to scoop it out spoon by spoon from the bowl.2) Even when you turn it sideways and front to back to get the water out so it can dry quicker, it never seems to come out. However, wait till the next night and as soon as you put more ice into it, a bunch of water drains out. I still haven't figured out where it's hiding yet and why new ice triggers its release.3) The cutting wheel doesn't shut off until the door is opened enough to where a little one could stick a finger in. It should shut off before it comes out of the ice receptacle as a safety measure. I don;t recommend kids using it unattended.Overall, I would recommend this based on it's value and quality of cut. I'm sure there are better units out there, but it fits our needs just fine and was priced right.

Tiny pieces of bliss
This thing makes snow cone like crushed ice like nobodies business! effortless. I wanted something to make crushed ice, as I am not a snow cone person, so this crushes it a bit smaller than prefered, however, if you crush it first, then pour you drink of choice over the ice, then stir it up, it's great! Eatable ice! That's what I was looking for. Melts fast, but if you are pouring cold drink into it, your good to go. I personally love it and use it all the time!It leaves small pieces of ice inside that will melt and end up on your counter, What I did was use an old Rubber mat with a dish towel laid over it, I am sure to put the bowl in place after I use it and it keeps things tidy. I empty the bowl when I go to use it again. This thing has been great all summer! I might put it away for the winter. 🤔 Then again, I just don’t know, maybe not.
