Cold water all the time
Delicious clear water that is cold all the time because of how much it holds and that water can be in the filter while in the unit. Takes up such a narrow amount of space in fridge. Can leave it on a shelf, spigot over the edge, and take when needed. Water tastes delicious. I'm drinking more water since I bought this about a month ago. So worth it. Forget the old pitcher style Brita.

Best Purchase of 2025...so far
If I'd known how much easier this is to use than the pitchers, I'd have bought one YEARS ago. We keep this on the bottom shelf of the fridge, pull out 1/2 way, set water bottles on the floor and turn on the spout for fill up. Meanwhile, we fill a plastic pitcher set by our sink and fill the reservoir while it's filling our bottles. The whole process is done in less than two minutes and I don't have to heft a britta filter around. Definitely worth the money and works much better than the pitchers. Fits neatly into the fridge, had much higher capacity, and still produces quality water with no smell or taste. So far the filter has lasted exactly as described.

Replaced my Brita Pitcher with this (a comparison)
I got this to replace a Brita pitcher, which simply was not very practical for my needs, with too small of a capacity. I will provide more specifics on this later in the review.Elite vs. Standard Filter: I selected Brita Elite (Blue Filter) as this removes lead, and some other chemicals, in addition to improving flavor, they . You can interchangeably use the Elite (Blue) and Standard (White) Brita Filters, however, the Standard (White) filters do not remove lead, and have a shorter lifespan. The Elite (Blue) filters last for 6 months, and the Standard (White) for 2. Price-wise, the Elite (Blue) filters are worth the price due to longevity alone, and when you add in the lead and other chemical reduction, it is an obvious choice. Taste is very similar between the two.Brita makes a third filter option that is not compatible with this dispenser or the pitcher, the Brita Stream. That technology is for specific Stream filters the water as you use it, and is simply a taste filter, it does not remove lead and other chemicals. I specifically wanted lead reduction, and did not consider this option.Dispenser vs. Pitcher:I think the Dispenser is 100% the way to go. The pitcher presents a lot of challenges and limitations. For reference, I have the Brita Large Pitcher with Elite Filter listed here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QG9Q9PB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1The pitcher is very problematic. The biggest limitation is the size. It has a very small capacity. If you are filling up water bottles, even large glasses, you will constantly have to refill this. The big reason I got a pitcher/dispenser was to have cold water, and it really ruins that when you have to refill frequently. The pre-filter reservoir only holds around 1500mL of water, which is just over half the capacity. One big issue is that you really cannot use the pitcher if there is water in the pre-filter reservoir as it just runs over the top. The prefilter reservoir also takes up a third of the pitcher's volume, so there is less space. The pitcher, with a handle also really takes up a lot of fridge space, and surprisingly not that much less compared to the larger dispenser.By contrast, the dispenser is a great form factor. It does take up some extra space, but it is narrower, does not have a bulky handle, and is a little shorter (I would consider this or the smaller 18-cup reservoir over the pitcher). My household can go most days without needing to refill, meaning colder water. The pre-filter reservoir holds about 2 liters of water, but importantly, the dispenser is usable while filtration is happening. You also can have the pre-filter reservoir full with the main (post-filter) reservoir also full, allowing for an increased capacity.

REALLY works!
We live in an EPA high threat level site (Joplin) and this makes the water taste immaculate. Actually works, all other water you drink here just tastes like Lead but this is crisp, cool, and clean. The design perfect fits in our fridge, flows nicely, and has been our favorite addition to our apartment

Great....when not leaking
So, my son bought this dispenser to put inside the fridge so we could do away with buying plastic bottles. The first shipment came defective so he had to request for a replacement. The replacement dispenser came and it worked perfectly in our fridge. It's big and holds a lot of water and the dispenser is convenient to just go in with a cup/glass and dispense the water. Unfortunately later on, the dispenser started to leak with drips. I read that it may be how you placed the filter and such so I made sure to place the filter correctly as it was instructed and thought that was the fix. But the drips continued sporadically. I had to place a cloth towel on the inside floor of the fridge because the water was pooling up and it was also dripping onto the drawers in my fridge. I contacted Brita and they were very nice about it. They had no replacements but said they would send me a check for the amount so I could go and buy another one. So this is the 3rd replacement for this water dispenser. I don't know if this is just a freaky thing that happened with the drip but I'm praying that 3rd times a charm and that we will have no more dripping. Overall, the dispenser is great for getting cold water from the fridge minus the drip issue and it saves from buying plastic bottles all the time.
