More pleased than I expected.
Perspective: I live in a small midwest town with HORRIBLE water. Like genuinely undrinkable. I had been buying bottled water for the last 3 years. If I could go back in time and find this, I would buy it in a heartbeat. It paid itself off in literally 2 weeks lol. One thing I was concerned about was taste. I do find that this makes our really harsh water taste significantly better. We did receiver the correct filter. Since getting it, I have not changed it (its been say 2 months at the time of writing) and we havent changed it. Taste is still good. I saw lots of talks about cracks. At this stage, we do not have any. Ours came in new/factory condition. One thing Ill say is due to the nature of the little dispenser nozzle I could imagine if you just let it full power flip back to its default 'stop the liquid from dispensing' position that it could easily hit the plastic enough and crack it. Physical size wise, Its slimmer width wise but its quite long. I prefer that because I dont like huge wide square junk taking up space. This will fit on a single shelf of a fridge and leave PLENTY of space for anything else. This holds a LOT of water. Enough to fill a stanley or related cup about 4 times. My husband has a comically large 64oz water bottle. I have a stanley esp cup that holds 30oz or so and even after filling up our cups in the morning theres still plenty left. For our 2 person water drinking household, I fill it once a day in the morning and were good. Also the water drips from the reservoir to the actual holding tank quite quick. Does it actually filter out the 'bad' stuff? Not sure honestly. Ive seen the filter catch some of our gross waters debris but if you're looking for like a nitrate filter, this is not gonna cut it for you but if youre just looking to make your mid tap water a little bit better for you and tasting, this will work just fine.

Great water filter!
Great water filter, the only thing is ours broke so easily during moving, but felt really sturdy and high quality, so it was our fault, so we will be repurchasing this same one. I love the size, we drink a lot of water and works great for us. Filters fast and definitely great value for money if I can drink as much filtered water I want without constantly refilling the filter. Easy to clean, and had no problem with filter change.

Easy to Use and the Water Tastes Great
I absolutely love this water dispenser! It’s very easy to use, and I love that I don’t have to keep going out to buy bottled water anymore. The water tastes really good and fresh. It’s convenient, practical, and has made things so much easier for me. I’m very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend it!

Holds up well, great product
This is a product I use daily and I love it! There is no odor to our water and the taste is great. I refill it constantly throughout the day and it fills fast. I use filtered water for drinking, cooking and filling our ice maker; so I could almost use two of these. My favorite thing about this product is the six month filters. A two pack is around $30 and I think that’s a great deal on clean water for the whole year!

Love good , clean drinking, cooking WATER !
I drink and use a lot of water for coffee, tea and cooking needs. I also purchased a Brita pitcher. I have found the pitcher fills my needs better. I keep it refrigerated / full / ready when needed. The extra large counter top model just seems to be in my way and a bit more awkward to use, plus the water is at room temperature. I am on a town water system, water is chlorinated . Both units clean the water effectively. I wanted 2 units, simply because I use a lot of water. If I could do over, I would purchase 2 pitchers, keep them full/ refrigerated. You should experiment to determine which filter meets your needs better. I don't buy bottled water. The Brita filtering units save you money on throw away bottles. GOOD, clean drinking water is what it is all about. I give the pitcher 5 stars, the counter top dispenser only 3 stars, because it is more awkward to me.

Container is fragile, but has one year warranty, according to Brita customer service.
Update: changed from 4 stars to 5 stars. I have been using everyday, all day, for a couple weeks, and I love this large water filter. I drink over a gallon of water a day so I do have to fill it every day but, it is so simple. Using both hands placed on the front and back handles at the top of the container, I hold on tightly, pull it out of the fridge slowly, place it on the countertop next to the sink, and pull my faucet head/hose out, and fill it that way. Super simple and convenient. (It does get slightly heavy when it's completely full, so I would not let children or someone with arthritic hands, do this) It's holding up great, and the water tastes fantastic! Great buy!!! Honestly I have to say I haven't used this yet, but I did open the package and after reading reviews before purchasing, I now am definitely concerned about durability. I researched forever and the best options budget wise and filter wise for me, who drinks a gallon of water a day by myself, on South FL city water, was this Brita water filter, 27 cup container, with the Elite filter. I did call Brita customer service because I explained that although I wanted to go with their filter because it was the best filtration for my budget, with how much I drink everyday, I was concerned about the durability of the container after reading all the reviews that it cracks and breaks easily. Obviously I would be refilling it daily. They assured me that there is a one-year warranty and if it did crack or break for any reason that I could inform them and it would be replaced. SO THAT IS WHAT I AM BANKING ON BECAUSE I AM SURE, AGAIN, AFTER READING ALL THE REVIEWS, IT WILL EVENTUALLY CRACK.... ESPECIALLY AFTER TAKING A CAREFUL LOOK AT IT AFTER RECEIVING. I've used Brita filters before and have always had great water from them so I am sure unless I have any problems with a cracked container and getting it replaced, if it does crack, I can confidently rate this with four stars... Only because there are better filters out there, but they are definitely not budget friendly.

NO difference between Brita and my tap water.
We moved just 10 miles but I really disliked the taste of our new home's tap water, and still do. Even our two dogs wouldn't drink it--for days they would only drink rainwater in outside bowls, and even to this day they prefer outdoor puddle water to our municipal water. And now we've just gotten back from 14 days in Iceland where the water, and I mean just Icelanders' tap water, is absolutely pleaure to drink. I didn't have to put lemon juice or other flavorings in the water to keep myself hydrated. Iceland water alone was tasty enough. I know that Iceland's water comes from glaciers and clean rain water, so I thought 'perhaps if I filtered my municipality's water I could get something closer to Icelandic water (at least without the chlorine and some other undesirable contents. I thought the Brita filter might provide me (and the dogs) with accceptable drinking water). What a disappointment! 1. First of all, the water from the tap ran through the Brita 'elite' filter so fast that I don't see how it had time to filter out anything undesirable content--and the water came out of the filter unevenly, which also made me suspicious that the water wasn't filtering well. 2. Secondly--I couldn't even taste the difference between the filtered water and our tap water even though I gave it more than one try. The water still had that unpleasant taste coming out of the Brita filter. 3. Third--and this bothers me a lot--Brita's green light thing that's supposed to tell you when you need a new filter? It's NOT connected to the filter in any way! It must just be a preset timer that says 'Okay, it's been 6 months now--therefore, it's time to change the filter. Never mind whether you live in Iceland or a swamp, if the timer says 6 months then it's time to get a new filter. I just hate that kind of devious marketing/ I wiil return the Brita and perhaps try the Zero Water filter.

Leaks from the faucet… 😕
Leaks at the faucet. Probably best to get the pitcher. It’s very frustrating to try, clean up after and fix or put napkins under.

Size of the item not as per described
The size of the water dispenser not as what it is described. I was shocked to note that it is relatively smaller - few inches smaller in term of width, height n long of the product. I noted this because I have bought a stand supposed to fit the size of this product but eventually turn out to be too big. And only later I found that the size is smaller than what it supposed to be . Terrible !

Smart Design, Effortlessly Portable and No Plumbing Required.
This is a very good design for a filter. Lift it and keep it anywhere. Do need for making any changes to your kitchen. The tap water tastes great too.
