Really well constructed set. This was exactly what we needed for making artisan style paper. We are planning to make some thick paper out of recycled paper products and this was perfect. Really easy to use and good value for the money. These frames can be really difficult to find in craft stores- I’m in Hawaii- so these saved the day :)

I love them but the screen broke off of the larger one the first time I used it… the constancy of the paper wasn’t that heavy. I put a layer over it in water and when I pulled it up out of the water the screen went through on the top. :(

Molds can get expensive quick, especially if you get the two part ones. I don't use mine too often and have no issues using a one part mold so these work great.These are lightweight, I've only used them a couple times but I will update if these break apart or I have some other issue. For now tho I'm pleased. Inexpensive alternative!

Very fragile and flimsy! Screen feels like it might come loose! Hate that it only has 1 frame. The paper gets stuck in the crease, and breaks during release!

This is suppose to have 3 frames. It came with only 2. Returning.

The mesh is embedded between two layers of wood. This does mean that the edge is smooth, but it also means that it's hard to put the right amount of pressure on the back of the deckle with a wetted sponge to release the page from the deckle. Each deckle should be two separate pieces: the base with the mesh flush with the top edge and the frame to control the shape of the paper fibers on the deckle. I think these are designed for very low production: make a single piece and let it mostly dry on the deckle before attempting to release it from the deckle and compress it.

If you are wanting something to do as a fun side project these are great, but for any long term use I wouldn't recommend. They break super easy after being used multiple times as the glue starts to errode after getting wet and the frames fall apart
