WHAT a GREAT product. I get so much volume with this! The smell is intoxicating, smells sooo Good

My 5.5 ounce can of aerosol mousse came without a cap but, thankfully, still feels like it is full. When wet there is a pronounced floral scent but once dry the scent is gone.After shaking the can well I turned it upside down and squirted a quarter sized ball out and let it sit for a minute to see what happened. The foam quickly started breaking down with lots of small bubbles rising up to the top. After about 10 seconds the bubbles got larger, and by 20 seconds there were huge bubbles and the foam had flattened out as shown in my photos. The foamy aspect of the product certainly does not last.After washing my hair I followed the directions and rubbed my hands together after putting some product into my palm. The foam immediately lost it's volume and turned into a slippery gel. I applied the gel to my fine hair and then used a blow dryer and brushes to style it.The foam/gel did add volume and some stiffness but, thankfully, my hair wasn't sticky. Think that I used too much and the next time I will use less. Unlike most foamy mousses, this seems to be very concentrated.It does add volume and a bit of shine. Use a very small amount to avoid any stiffness!

Light and not heavy on my hair. Price is comparable to saloon’s.

6.17.22~ Did a combo of 'Surface' mousse on my roots & balm on the ends.Gotta be the best hair of my life. Or at least in a very long time.Kinda gave up on blow outs bc my hair was going through a stage & curls were easier.Another reason was the humidity I live in is brutal on hair.So even if I had great blow out hair, never got more than a day before the poof.There's always the flat iron option but wanted tresses not strands.The gel/mousse is just that.Comes out like a heavy foam.Best to rub through fingers & pull through roots then glob on.The balm is similar to 'Authentic Beauty Concept' Replenish balm.Smooth but a tad sticky-ish. 'ABC' leaves hair softer but 'Surface' has the hold.Both the balm & the mousse Must be Blown Out. Hair is tacky with air dry.'Surface' gives me a Supermodel worthy, blow out hair with Style Memory.The couple pieces I twirled have been brushed, scrunched and still remain.My hair moves. Can touch & twirl. Not as soft as salon blow out but I don't care.On day 3 of a 'Surface' blow out that acts like this is my real hair bounce & all.Even when I ran a flat iron through my hair stayed sexy.In humidity & sweat, hair was perfect. No poof even after a ponytail.So while a couple tweaks, like this is Not Silicone Free, the Results are 5 Stars.

I have short fine hair and this stuff was just too much for me.I used about a quarter size of my damp hair after showering. The consistency quickly changed but after blow drying it was just too heavy for my fine hair.

Used this Surface Hair Gel Mousse this morning and am quite pleased with the results. I have short to medium hair that leans to curly wavy uncontrollable styles. Needed something that would give some body, volume, and hold the created style I wish. This product fills that bill It comes in a tall slim metal bottle with a soft green covering, and a white plastic lid. Under the lid is the dispensing apparatus via a compressed air tube. *Now, we have a slight problem - it's an odd-shaped white plastic dispenser, and for the life of me, can't figure out how to REALLY work it! After trying, I ended up by just pushing in the triangular semi-hole on the tip and the Mousse squirted out through my fingers with enough to use, thank goodness. I don't think that's the correct way to retrieve the Mousse, still trying to figure it out. Instructions didn't help: Shake well. Spread Gel Mousse through hands and apply through damp hair. Nothing on how to properly work the dispenser, don't want to waste the compressed air, won't have a way to retrieve the product,.....and it's a great Gel Mousse product! = 5 Stars (4 Stars - dispensing tip) **Update, next morning - hint! REALLY SHAKE the container! The base of the dispenser is to be pushed down (notice the ridges and slit) and the white foam comes out that triangular semi-hole on the tip, plus hold the container at a semi-horizontal when dispensing. You can hear the swoosh noise of the compressed air. All around 5 Stars now.

I love this Surface Hair Blowout! It’s a great combination of Gel & Mousse that acts as a heat protectant and provides volume and a firm hold.I applied it to my dampened thick, wavy hair prior to blow drying. Great absorption without leaving any residue. My hair felt soft, smooth with a lot of body. I curled my hair afterwards and the curls lasted all day.It’s lightly scented and non-greasy. My hair wasn’t stiff, as I previously mentioned that it had body, it was also very full, bouncy with a nice luster.If you’re looking for a product that’s paraben, sulfate & gluten free and made with natural ingredients, you may want to give this one a try. I know results varies but I can definitely say that It works well with my hair texture.
